I was just switched to Premarin 1.25 from the Estraderm .1 patch for reasons that I can assume was because I was not absorbing enough estrogen on the patch. I am starting to feel pretty good on the 1.25 Premarin. I wouldn't cut it unless you talk to your doctor first. I have found that is helps to give any medication at least 4-6 weeks to really tell how it will work for you.
I haven't used Premarin, so don't have any first hand experience with it. I do know that usually when you use an oral estrogen, the dose will be higher as much is lost thru the digestive system. Premarin does come in several dosages, so if you're concerned about the doseage you could ask for a lower doseage. If you find it doesn't work, you can always add another pill. Just an
