(Gross) watery reddish brown discharge

Hi everyone!

I have this problem that is really grossing me out, and am wondering if this is normal or not. I do go and see my Dr on wednesday for my 2 week check up, but thought I would see if any other sisters had this, and what can we do about it?

I have had really bad discharge. Not normal at all. It is very watery, and is brownish red. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, and think that I must have wet myself. I go to the bathroom, and there it is everywhere.

Also when I go to the bathroom, and have a bowel movement, there is this pinkish, tissue-(ie) looking stuff in the toilet. What the heck is that stuff? It isn't a whole bunch just small droplets of the stuff.

I tried all day today to not take a pain pill, and I have done well untill a few hours ago. The pain came on in a crampy, achey pain, in the pelvic and vaginal area. Bad enough to where extra strength tylenol would not help. So I have had one percocet tonight.

Any idea's, or ways you have coped with the icky stuff, please let me know.

The pain I know will just take time to heal. Let me tell you, it is not near how I felt before surgery.

Thanks Ladies!

'S

Tasha

(Gross) watery reddish brown discharge

Hi Tash
I am 6 weeks post op and I am still losing. It isn't pink anymore its like a biege colour. If you develop a temp or the discharge starts to smell offensive then go to docs. I must admit I have worried about mine sometimes, smelling it like a wine buyer (URH GROSS) but I go for my 6 week check not until next wed so I will see then what he says.
It will get better though, I think when we have suffered with the bleeding problems for so long we tend to expect the op to end it all instantly, BUT it doesn't I'm afraid. Keep your chin up and keep smiling, take one day at a time and one day we will look back on this one and think ' what was the fuss about'. Let us know how you get on with your check up.
Many hugs
Lissa xx
