Date moved up, running on empty

Hi Ladies,

I went to pre-op yesterday-all went well, nerves shot, stressed out,-the usual. Then later on in the afternoon I get a call from one of the dr and she tells me to report in Monday 8/30 first case instead of Wed. I am being pulled in so many different directions. My job even asked me if I would work the weekend (of course I said no) The cleansing process is not one that I would like to share with my co workers(ha, ha). Also my dh still wants us to take a 4 1/2 trip to visit his mother. I don't think I will be making that either. The dr us my surgery would be complex becasuse of the extent of the adhesions so I am really trying to focus on getting mentally and physically prepared while everyone else is trying to get every single drop of my energy and time. Has this happened to anyone else?

Jo

Nobody told me that I'd temporarily lose my mind prior to surgery (and I WAS a nutcase until a few minutes before) so, take a few deep breaths, know you'll get thru it and do what you think is best for you -- if that means "selfish", so what. This isn't an operation you have every day so focus on you and believe that all will be well.
