orgasms....yes i have to ask!

okay...so i'm about 4 months out from my TAH and having
a hard time with things. i was cleared for sex and felt pretty
good about things after 6 weeks...all seemed to be working
"fine". now, however, i have started having some...issues.
i have a fine sex drive, a lot of interest, and my body is
"into it" but i no longer have orgasms....this is distressing.
any thoughts? words of wisdom?

I guess the big question here is how you used to orgasm.

Were you one who orgasmed during intercourse itself? Was it from contact with the vaginal g-spot or through stimulation of the clitoris?

You may just need to become more creative about it - have your partner try to give you an orgasm without penetration and see how that goes. Try different things during masturbation to try to figure out how your current wiring works.

Four months is still very early in your recovery. It is possible that some nerves are still healing and those old feelings will return. The good news is that your hormones sound like they're working well because your interest and response are good.

I hope that helps and take care.

Wow -- no orgasm?

It's still early in your recovery. They'll probably come back.

I can say that my orgasms are much more intense since the surgery last November. But I have no sex drive at all. But I do it anyway and I'm usually pleasantly rewarded.

Hang in there! Just imagine how you'll feel when they come back!
