Surgery Tomorrow, I am wide awake!

Well, tomorrow is the day...Supposed to have an LAVH (unless they find more problems and need to do an abdominal). I cannot tell you what stress I have gone thru this week. So many obstacles....Made me think that maybe I wasn't supposed to go thru with this! First, the insurance denied me due to needing more documentation. This was on a day that I was supposed to watch a video and do my pre-op stuff. So they just sent me home...Now it is all straightened out! Then, got an upper respiratory bug and have been coughing like crazy...(am on antibiotics and feel fine, and coughing almost gone now, thank GOD) THEN, did pre-op tests and my EKG was abnormal and my doc couldn't okay me for surgery until my cardiologist cleared me....(he did, put me on some additional meds for my heart-I have had problems since 24, nothing new). Officially cleared for surgery at about 2:30 pm, and surgery is tomorrow at 12:30 pm. How's that for stress ya'll????? LOL I have lost some weight though, due to the stress and no appetite....(a good thing for me)
ANYWAY! NOW it is almost time....It is 11:00 pm, and I only have another hour that I can eat or drink (NPO after Midnight). Have been "thinking" about having this done off and on for 12 years, and still not TOTALLY sure? Can one ever be totally sure? Just hope I don't trade one set of problems for another set...but at the same time, know that I have gone thru so much pain and disruption in my life with my endometriosis, bleeding, and now the 8 by 7 cm fibroid. I also have adhesions that are pretty bad. Just going to have to put my TOTAL trust in the Lord now. Just reading a nice verse, Isaiah 41:10, which says: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Best of luck to all of you with surgeries coming up, and I will be on as soon as I possibly can. Thanks for all the advice and messages just in the short time that I have been on this great site! Bye for now!!!

Surgery Tomorrow, I am wide awake!

I will remember you in prayer and believe that all will go well with your surgery and recovery. Glad you know the Lord and have the assurance of Isaiah 41, which you shared.

Looking forward to hearing your victory report when you are able to share after surgery.

SHALOM!

Surgery Tomorrow, I am wide awake!

Good luck - I know you'll be just fine.

I too memorized Isaiah 41:10 before my surgery.

God Bless you and I'll say a prayer for you.

Surgery Tomorrow, I am wide awake!

You are in surgery as we speak and I am awaiting mine, I also keep getting road blocks tossed in my way, today I feel so sick with a cold I could just gag, I cant believe the thing I feared most happened. God will take us through though and mold us more and more to his liking, we will get stronger through all this, God Bless and hope to hear from you when you get home in a few days...Denna
