Fever

Has anyone had a fever? I just took my temp and it was 101.1.
I called the doctor, but I also told them I had a sore throat and my ear was hurting alittle.

I think I might of gotten sick and the fever has nothing to do with the surgery.

They told me to take advil, robitussin, and sudafed and if the fever does not go down to call back.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did they tell you to do?

Fever

Hi Brenda,

I took my temp a few days after returning home from the hospital and found it to be 99.4 to 99.8 one day. When it hit 99.8 I became a bit concerned, but didn't call the doctor because it was below the 101 (?) temp they said to call for.

That night I got gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and had severe vomiting and diarrhea at the same time! It was just 1-1/2 days after returning home. I felt SO awful (not like the regular flu) and to play it safe we went to the ER in the middle of the night. I was so weak I had a hard time walking after just 3 hours of being sick. The ER doc said I probably had caught the stomach flu in the hospital. I was fine within 12 hours.

I would follow your doctor's advice. I bet you'll be just fine, but you may have caught a little virus. I hope you feel better soon.

*Hugs*

Fever

I ran a fever 4 days after surgery, which was a Saturday. By Sunday I was feeling really bad, upset stomach, pain, and a fever of 101-102. I went to the ER, and I had a urinary tract infection.
Call your Dr. if the fever persists, thats your body fighting something off. Just my opinion, not medical advise.

Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Fever

Tasha,

Did you have any other symptoms to know that you had a UTI?

Fever

The pain was worse when my bladder filled up. The pain would subside a bit when I went to the bathroom. It did not hurt to go like a normal uti.

Let me know how you are doing...

Fever

Thanks :-)
My fever is down to 99.5 again and
I am feeling pretty good so I am going to wait it out.
If it goes up I'll go to the ER.
