BE careful of stress, too

Hi Sisters-
I learned another lesson in post-op recovery. Don't let other people upset you and stress you out! I am dealing with my DH and his behavior, but I found that if you get upset, you will feel worse.

my neck and shoulders are tensed-up and sore and I just feel yucky in general. I felt like this once already when I over did it, and I paid for it dearly. Now I found out stress will do it too.

I don't want any of you feeling this way after your surgeries, so please be sure and not let anyone upset you!Don't do too much either!

Sorry this is happening...maybe his stress and worry about you is coming out on you...you know the old saying, "you always hurt the ones you love"...

You are so right. Stress is also a contributor to pain, I believe.

I am consciously doing my deep breathing several times a day. I have replaced my usual classic rock radio with my classical music CDs in the car stereo....and I think I'm gonna cut out caffeine a little early. Even though I like the caffeine lift, I also know that in me, the caffeine also makes me more hyper....so I'm gonna try to give it up. Anything that will keep the butterflies at bay.

Take it from a aholic...I haven't experienced any butterflies since the doctor put me on two mild sedatives and I get to come in here and be with my sisters. I get a lot of comfort here...my DH misses me...
