benefits of meditation

A friend has lent me some cassettes called "A Meditation to promote a Successful Surgery." It's by Bellaruth Naparstek. There is guided imagery and positive affirmations regarding the surgery and healing. You listen to it both before and after the surgery. My trip to the castle is Friday. I've listened to these 2X and feel considerably calmer and less afraid. I don't think you already have to be a meditator to benefit from this. If you can't stand the waiting for the trip to the castle, you might want to try these out.

I agree with the benefits of meditation. I work at doing it on a daily basis. Relaxes my inner self. I like doing daily affirmations also.

I think a process that can put one in a positive frame of mind is great. Especially before a surgery.

I just bought that CD on the internet for myself yesterday hoping that some positive imagery would be helpful. It's great to hear that it is working for you (hopefully it will do the same for me). Thanks so much for the suggestion and postive review.

Do any stores have these CDs or do you have to get them online?

I'm not sure about the availability in stores, but I was able to get it at www.healthjourneys.com. They also play samples of it on the site so you can see if you like it. Hope this helps.
