My 6 Week Checkup

Hi Sisters,

Just wanted to let you all know that I had my 6 week checkup this morning.

Everything is healing fine. My Dr. said I am a slow suture dissolver. She was able to still see some stitches at the top of the vagina. I did mention that I was still feeling tired by the afternoon and was told that is because I am still healing and that is also why the area around my belly button is still sensitive.

I am allowed to go back to work next week, but I will be part time for the next two weeks ( fine with me ).

I am allowed to have sex again I said are you sure since there are still some stitches there? I said nothing is going to rip, tear, etc and I was told that it would be fine. The exam wasn't painful a little bit of pressure.

I was also told do what I feel like doing, if it hurts stop. If I am tired, rest.

I think I am one of the lucky ones, I have had a very uneventful recovery, thank goodness. I had a cold about a week and a half after surgery but that was it.

I was give a copy of my Pathology report. I know a week or so ago there was a thread on here to help you read the reports, if anyone can direct me to it I would appreciate it.

Thank you all so much for being there during this time.

re on 6 weeks

I had my 6 week check up this last Tuesday. I am healing very nicely and can have sex now but still can't do any heavy housework for another 2 weeks. In my situation, where I live at the moment until my house is finish being built. My sleeping area is not private from our 3 teenage sons so we have to wait until in new home! BUT hubby is very patient!!!He figures that will give me more time to heal and be ready. How are you doing in Florida? The news here shows us some pretty bad pictures of your state. Will pray for all of you guys in Florida!

My 6 Week Checkup

I had my 6 week appointment on Wednesday and my dr said all is well and I can go back to normal living. I told him that I don't feel like myself yet-I even got shingles last week. I felt so stressed out about thinking that I was going to have to go back to work when I feel so up and down. Some times I feel okay and other times seriously yucky.

To add to my anxiety, I work at Red Lobster and they are starting an All-you-can eat shrimp promo. There are a amazing amount of poeple that eat like 100 shrimp at a time-we give out ten at a time. The job is hard already but adding that promo is really fast paced and demanding. The dr said take another couple weeks and then start part-time after that. I felt much relief but also knowing I have another week at home is not that appealing either. I am sooo done with tv. I feel like a whiner- thanks for letting me vent al little

My 6 Week Checkup

HI,

I also had my 6 week check on Tuesday. I am doing well. Doctor wiped out some stitches and said that he did not see any more. However, he did say that I might experience some bleeding in the next few weeks from granulation and if so, to call the next day. He will have me come in for silver nitrate.

I am cleared to return to work. I am a substitute teacher, so I just have to wait until I am called.

Glad to hear you all are healing well.

Best wishes,

Judy
