May you each have uneventful surgeries and recoveries!

Remember the Your Princess training:

(1) with help the first few times you are up at the hospital---you may be weak from surgery and anesthesia. Once home, continue taking brief lil' walks-- increasing each day. Getting outdoors does wonders for the "four-wall syndrome"!!!

(2) plenty of water! (Soda's can increase gas) Water is a better option because it helps flush everything out and keeps you hydrated.

(3) This is easy, at first. It is important to continue to take it easy during your recovery time. Listen to your body and rest when you need to! You will have just had MAJOR SURGERY and you need to give your body time to recover. It takes 6-8 weeks (sometimes longer) to be released. It can take up to a full year before you feel 100% again.

REMEMBER everyone recovers at different paces!

Ronda, thanks for the words of wisdom. I found out yesterday that I'm now having a TAH instead of the LAVH. Still mentally working through this new procedure but know that I will with the help of this wonderful website.

Still doing the but almost there!

Good news is bowel prep the day before isn't as bad as some have done - clear liquids all day followed by 2 fleet enemas starting at 9p.

thank you all for your good wishes. I am actually very calm and relaxed and looking forward to my surgery. Mostly hoping I don't have to wear these "maternity" clothes much longer. Thanks again

Thank you dear sisters for all your words of support and wisdom. This is one more milestone-a marker on the way to having this done and getting to feeling better.
I am counting the days and the hours. I have gone from total fear and uncertainty to a calm assurance that God is with me and directing me and everything is going to be just fine.
I pray the same peace and safey through your surgeries. I look forward to hearing about how you all did on the other side.
