Vaginal scar tissue

Hi Ladies,

I was told my burning and itching in the vagina was from scar tissue at the anterior repair.

Can't something be done about scar tissue? Or am I just going have to wait things out?

Does scar tissue cause discomfort like this?

If anyone has had problems with vaginal scar tissue, I would appreciate some advice or just a

Vaginal scar tissue

Hi Poofy Did your DR prescribe any kind of vaginal estrogen to help with the healing of the scar tissue? Rubbing a vaginal estrogen cream (Premarin is the most effective, but estrace or estriol cream would work well too) on the scar tissue a couple of times a day can help it to soften as it heals, and that should lessen the discomfort.

I'm sorry you're still having trouble with this. I hope you get some relief soon.

Vaginal scar tissue

Hi suferbabe,

Well, it seems when I try the creams things get worse. I tried the Premarin and it was extreme itching. Estrace burned and Vagifem burned and gave me a yeast infection.

It's not like hard scar tissue. It's red and irritated. It is more like a skin problem. I don't know.

I am going to find a new gyn because I have only been seeing a PA at my regular doctor's office. She said it was over her head.

Also, when I use the hormone creams, my nervous system gets speeded up. It's like I'm on alot of caffeine. I have problems with anxiety and I don't need the little extra.

Thanks for your concern and your reply. I know from your past posts that you had scar tissue removed. I believe you know what I am feeling.
