Wink - Mighty Monday Morning 13 Sept Mighty Monday Morning 13 Sept

Morning all!
Well, thanks to my next door neighbour, I am up at the crack of dawn this morning! She knocked me up to go to town and buy her DD a bday cake, being as she's only having her FIRST birthday, how could I refuse (aw!)
Docs first this morning, then work, then DD has an appointment at the enuresis clinic, so its a busy monday today!
We have had torrential rain and wind all weekend in the UK. I wonder if its residual Frances working her way around? Up until friday, we were having beautiful Indian Summer weather.
Food planning this morning has gone out of the window, will have to check out the supplies when I get a minute, will let you know later!
Bye for now, all who follow, hope you all have a good day, hope your bum isn't still sore Sueperb!

Good Mighty Morning... just need a picture of Might Mouse (ready to tackle this day )

Managed to finish food shopping yesterday to get set for a great OP week....

B - soy yogurt, banana
S - apple
L - roast beef sandwich (low cal rye bread = 1 pt.) & baby carrots S - pineapple
D - either eft over pork roast & veggies or grilled portobello mushroom "burgers"
S - bagged my 14 little honey grahams cinnamon sticks

Exercise... it's a nice day today -- will try to get out for a walk at lunch & after work. Then, of course, my little boys need their walk later on.

Well... got to get ready for work. Tah Tah....

Good morning all,

Yoga is done. Getting ready to eat a leftover hot dog from yesterday and some cucumbers and maybe some black eyed peas. Lunch will be salad with chicken. Dinner will be burgers.

Fran--Sounds like you have a busy day planned! Hope it goes well and you get that nice weather back soon. We have a few more days of nice weather before rain moves in.

Sue--Your food sounds very tasty today --enjoy that and your walks without and with your boys ! Used to love Mighty Mouse--just hearing the song could get you going . . .

Hope everyone has a great, OP Monday!

Morning all

Ann I found a great website last week with waist hip ratio

Take your waist measurement and divide it by your hip measurement. Waist is done at belly button. Hips legs shoulder length apart and measure and the widest spot.

Then divide your waist by your hip. Anything under 80 for women is in good shape. I am 81 so I am almost there. Compared to the BMI which says I am 12 to 14 pounds overweight. So give that one a try.

Well the weather was gorgeous this weekend. Nicer than most of our summer weekends. I did tons of gardening at the front of the house and it looks great. I have more to do but it was a good start. My mom came by and stayed overnight we had a nice time with the girls.

Back to work for me and school for the girls. I got my workout in. 10 mins on the bike and 20 on the treadmill then triceps and biceps and abs are done. So all is well.

Morning Shirley. Dont you love getting the exericise over with. It is so great to have it done.

Morning Sue. Have a great walk

Ah Fran what a nice neighbour you are Sorry the weather is so crappy. Enjoy your busy day

Okay I am off but will be back later

Mighty Monday Morning 13 Sept

Good morning Fran, Sue, Shirley and Katie! Hello everyone else who follows. Well, the weekend and the shower went great and my DD got lots of nice gifts. I was not OP as I expected but there was NO WAY I was going to pass up carrot cake on this festive occasion. Of course got no walking in due to company and just being plain old tired. Water did go down well though. Today is a new day and I will be heading off to Curves shortly. The scale said 191 today so we will see where it goes from there. Hopefully not back up to that ugly old 193 again. Have tons of laundry to do so I will head off. Take care all!!!!!!

Mighty Monday Morning 13 Sept

Good morning everyone, hope we all have a great day today. We had a beautiful weekend here in northern N.Y. Went shopping with my sister, daughter, and neice on Sat. Had a terrific time, lots of laughes. Worked in my gardens on Sun, got all the washing and ironing done, hosed down porches, and basically busy all day but was enjoyable. Then the most wonderful thing happened to me. My adorable 20 mo old grandson came to visit and he said for the first time "I love you Grammy". Well, didnt the tears just start falling. My heart melted. Life is so wonderful. Now got the exercise in the gardens yesterday, plan on walking today. Eating going good so far today, plan on having an LA meal replacement shake and veggies for lunch and pork chops with lots of veggies for dinner tonight.

Fran-will you be my neighbor???? Hope the rain leaves soon for you.

Sue-you go girl, enjoy that walk today.

Shirley-Yoga, I am going to get my butt out of bed earlier in the morning to do yoga. Used to not get through the day without it and then let it go. Thanks for getting that notion back in my head.

Katie-liked the hip/waist ratio, I am along ways off but something to work towards. Glad to hear you are doing so well..

Emily-shower sounded like a success, sounds like a busy day, have a healthy day....

Ladies, I forgot to tell you I had several MO moments at the shower on Sat. but the best was from a dear friend who I haven't seen since Christmas. She has big beautiful eyes and they almost bugged right out of her head when she first saw me. She smiled and said, "wow, you can tell you really lost weight!" Others said I looked terrific!

Good morning, Ladies!!!

I started writing yesterday and appreciate the advice to an almost 4-week recoveree who is thinking about what to do for exercise. I will continue to rest, walk, and drink lots of water.

I am getting out today with a friend to cruise Walmart. My only pair of sweats are getting a workout and need a couple more friends.

Sorry to hear about the crummy weather in Wales, but I hope that all the activities you have planned will make it a bit better.

Everyone enjoy your walking, yoga, great food, and chances to improve your health.

Just one more question: I turn 40 in 4 weeks and want to do something fun and different. I have looked at day trips in Colorado, and a couple of overnights with DH. But I still have not found that ideal thing to mark the occassion. Any thoughts?

Have a great day!!

Good morning, all!

Just a quick check-in while I'm posting expenditures in Quicken - my excuse to be at the computer for a few minutes...

I was OP yesterday and will be today. Bfast was a mixture of Cracklin' Oat Bran and Slim - short on both so mixed them. Lunch is going to be a Michlena? low cal Greek veggie microwave dish. Dinner - I'm trying for Shirley's chicken again - DH volunteered to grill last night and you know I had to let him.

I'm running errands this morning - started out with a co-worker's birthday this morning at work - she's on WW and I made the cake so you know it was fat free, sugar free and OP! And it was so yummy no one knew how healthy it was but she, DH and I! lol

My steps yesterday were 9156 - up from 8450 last Sunday. I don't know if I'm going to be able to BEST last Mon's step total of 13242 today but I'lll give it a shot!

Hope you're all having a great OP Monday!
