Pain in bowel and bladder

Hi i had my TAH on july 8th 2004
I had my womb, cervix, left overie and tube, and my half my right overie and tube removed,
I was awake for the op and had 2 pints of blood
6 days later i had to be rushed back to theatre with a raging temp of 42 and severe pain in my abdomen
The dr found a huge poison filled abcess sitting in my pelvis where my womb ect had been
It was the size of a babies head
I also had to have another 4 pints of blood
I went for my post op appointment to find that my left overie had cancer in the middle but i don't need any treatment because the surrounding tissue was clear
but ever since my hysto op i have had a lot of pain in both my bladder and bowel when either they get full or i empty them
My dr that did the ops said its normal but I'm starting to worry now as i have noticed that i can not stop my wea in mid stream so something must be wrong with my bladder
Also if i sneeze and my bladder has anything in it it leaks out
When i sneeze my scar hurts like its ripping inside
i have 3 scars on my tum from the 2 ops but the hysto one is the 1 I'm hurting from
I know I'm only 10 weeks post op but should i be getting these pains still?

Pain in bowel and bladder

Hi Angelbabe:
It sounds like you have had alot of complications and your insides have been disrupted alot. I know that it took me months before I could stop my wea in mid stream. I use to leak alittle even while just walking alittle at work and watch out if I sneezed! This happened to me for a few months after my surgery in Feb. I went to my doctor about it and he said that it might take awhile before my muscles were right again. It is now 8 months after my surgery and I don't leak anymore while I walk but when I sneeze I still loose it. I had a total hyst. with no complications so I can imagine how you must feel. Stay strong and be patient with your body right now it is going to take alittle while before you are back to where you were.

God Bless!
D'anne
