4 month post op pain

I had my TAH with BSO on May 26th and I feel 100% better. My problem is that every time I do any strenous lifting or other work it feels like my ovaries are back and very sore!!! My back and stomach hurt like crazy. We just moved into a new house and I was moving small things and by the end of the day I was really sore. This weekend I painted my son's bedroom and the same thing happened. I haven't really done much strenous work since my surgery, so maybe I'm just out of shape. Has anyone else had this problem?

OOPS!!! It was a LAVH

Sorry! I meant to say I had a LAVH almost 4 months ago. I guess I got carried away reading other posts.

Hi MarLans,

WOW, moving, that is a lot of work! Maybe you just need to give your body the rest it's asking for. Just do a little at a time.....it won't go anywhere. Take care of yourself and let your body do the talking for you. You still deserve to be pampered even at 4 months.

luv, & tender hugs,

Mich

MarLans ...funny you should post that....

I just checked out this board for the exact same reason! I'm 4 months post-op. TAH BSO on May 24. After working all day painting, etc., I now have a fairly substantial "pain" on my left side exactly where my old ovarian pain used to be.

I'm also very tired and feel once again like I'm just not recovered enough. Other research I've done, shows at 6 months post-op we are only 75 - 80% healed. One year to be fully healed.

Yes, it does take time. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

4 month post op pain

I have the same thing. I had my right ovary and tube removed with my LAVH on 5/5/2004. I get crampy pains on my right where my ovary was. It is very tender to the touch even in that area. I had a bladder infection recently and boy did that area hurt when I went into the doctor. I went to urgent care for the bladder infection and the doctor there did not seem at all concerned about it. I suppose I should check with my gyno.
