Unhappy - total body achiness 3 weeks post-op total body achiness 3 weeks post-op

Is it normal to feel like I've been hit by a mack truck 3 weeks after surgery, pain pills don't help and I'm miserable. On top of that I've had 2 bladder infections to boot. Is this normal and if it is, how long will it last? Please help!

Hi Teresa!

Oh my, I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well. Have you been increasing the amount of your activity? Sometimes that catches up with us and makes us feel miserable. Do keep in touch with your doctor about how you are doing.

You can compare notes and recovery experiences with others on the Post-Op Hysterectomy Support message board. It's a great place to ask questions!

You'll find helpful recovery information in the Post-Op Hints link in the More Hyster Sisters! drop down menu. That menu is near the top/right of each message board page.

I hope you start feeling better soon!

P. S. - When you have a moment, please click the Profile link near the top of the page so that you can add your surgery date to our user profile. Thank you!
