swelly belly & 6 months post op

I am nearly 6 months post op and the swelly belly the last couple of weeks has been worse than ever. By mid afternoon my belly is tight as a basketball. If I eat anything my stomach hurts. If I press my stomach I get shooting pains up through my ribs. I gain about 4 1/2 lbs through the day. I hate this. The doctor doesn't think it is anything serious but he doesn't have to go through my closet searching for tent clothes. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am three months post op and have the same problem. It is so frutrating that I look 6 months preggo by the end of each day. I stil cannot fit back into my regular clothes and the belly makes it hard to fit into regualr cut pants- I need pants that are loose in the middle but not baggy in the backside. Prior to the surgery I had gotten my body into great shape and now I jut look chubby.

Here is an insult for you- my 12 year old says she likes the new look- as I now look like all her other friends mother's-- FAT.

Everyone tells me the swelling takes time but I am tired of waiting to be back to me again.
