Sunday ~ September 26th
Good Morning
Prayers going out to our Ann and anyone else that may be in Jeanne's path! I cannot even imagine what they are going through.... it's so very sad!!
I am only up one pound, which I think it pretty darn good considering what meals have been like lately.
We did manage to sit down and eat a decent meal last night. It sure felt nice!
MIL was taken off the ventilator and is breathing on her own now. Thats a great step in the right direction! She sure has a longgg way to go yet, but looks as though she may be heading in the right direction now! Thanks for your prayers for her!
I haven't planned meals yet today, I will tackle that after I get off line.
Ok, I better get moving! I have so much to do to get my house back together!
 Love you Guys!!!
Take Care, Dawn

Sunday ~ September 26th
Dawn, so glad to hear the news about your MIL. I will continue to keep her in my prayers.
Katie, is the new one here yet?
Ann, I was so sorry to hear about your flight. I'm praying that you got thru Jeanne with just rain.
Hope BSQ and Shirley arrived safely with no problems.
Dany, so glad you're feeling better.
Nothing new to report here. Spending a lot of my time attached to a heating pad for my hip - it's the only thing that helps when it starts up. We're having Indian summer - much better than last week's temps in the fifties. The leaves on the maples are red and orange - seems so early this year.
I was OP foodwise yesterday and will be today. I'm going to try a short bike ride this morning with DH if the hip allows. Walking aggravates it but I'm hoping biking won't - I feel like such a slug.
Bfast will be cracklin' oat bran, lunch a Michlena low cal micro greek salad, dinner bbq chicken and half a baked potato. After dinner snack popcorn with a movie.
Hope everyone is staying safe this weekend.
P.S. I'm almost scared to put this in writing - the scales are down two pounds! Been down four days now. After a three month plateau I'm almost not believing it....

sorry for confusing everybody yesterday with an I'm not going to Cancun post, sorry!!
Today, been OP so far (not eaten a scrap!) Off to a big Sunday luch in half an hour, and I want to enjoy it to the full. (will try and be OP, prob won't be able to manage a dessert, so that's OP enough for me today.
On a weight note, my new jeans that I bought last week are beginning to swing on me, I am so chuffed about that! Things are really beginning to happen for my body, I was 6 months OP yesterday, so maybe I was being a little optimistic post op.
Been writing a letter all morning to my ins company re: the MPV that they wrote off in December (and paid up in Jun,) hopefully we'll get a satisfactory settlement re; the value of the contents soon.
Right, gotta as I have an appointment with a yummy dinner
 Have a BEST DAY y'all.

Good afternoon all!!
 s Dawn!
Thanks Fran for letting us know about how Marlene is doing.
{{{{Ann}}}}} so sorry you missed out on Cancun and I pray your are safe today!
Well, my dress fitting went well yesterday. It seems the problem was the internal linig that is tight on me not the dress itself. In fact the only adjustment there is a one inch hem. Now the lining will be gussetted and that will give me a 4 inch relief. I know nothing about sewing but I wish they would have told me awhile ago what they explained to me yesterday. Hubby was so confused as to how a dress could look so good yet feel so tight.
I have been pretty much OP, drinking lots of water and unless shopping is exercise, I did none yesterday. I will be heading out for a walk as soon as I am done posting here. Stay safe everyone and more s to our sisters in Florida and everywhere else Jeanne hits!

Sunday ~ September 26th
Hey Everyone...
I've been MIA this week... work has been so hectic that I just crash in the evenings & yesterday too.
I did about the same step wise this week -- 8432 -- down about 100 steps from the previous week. Decided that I need to get in gear & will be making it to the gym on a regular basis. I was debating whether to join a Curves, but decided it's not the place where I workout that's a problem... it's me getting motivated to go & do it. Although I've increased my steps, it's not the same as burning calories at a greater level. So, my bad will be packed each evening & will go with me to work.
Dawn... WOW, I thought I had a stressful time of it... nothing compared to the kiddos you have in class; the flood waters & then your MIL.
Sandy... congrats!! on jumping off that plateau! It must feel great!
Fran... ejoy your day!!
Katie... HUH?? I don't understand -- had to re-read yesterday's posts. to you & your family... hope all ok.
Emily.... glad your fitting for your MOB dress went well.
Ann... sorry you didn't get to Cancun with the others -- hope all Floridans ride this crazy weather with minium damage.
Ok... off to finish my Sunday "to dos"...

Hia
s to everyone in Jeannes path ... what is wrong with the weather these days ?!?!?!?
Well, this morning started early - yes DS was swimming, and I have to say, I have never ever seen him so exhausted, with no energy after training .. I had to spoon feed him pasta when we got him home and then go to the shop to buy lots of chocolate to feed him .. OK OK so I sneaked a couple of pieces !!!
Katie - no offence taken here what so ever - so glad she made it to 35 weeks - send her my s, I pray that both baby and mum are OK
Dawn - brill news about MIL ..
To everyone else HIA !!!
OPness, well after the few spuges of chocolate this morning, I have been OP ... when I have been feeling snacky I have been reaching for organic yoghurt, and fruit which I suppose is OK, but still can't chew properly - I tried to eat steak last night - that was a bad move, one not to be repeated !!! So tonights dinner is chicken, with stuffing, veg and potatoes.
Exercise, well apart from watching my DS exercise like nobody on earth, which burnt up enough calores I have been studying .. 2 weeks tomorrow !!!
I have just noticed as well - it's my hysterversary today !!!
Right gotta go ... Love and hugs
Toni xxx

Sunday ~ September 26th
Morning Ladies.
Sure hoping to see a post from Ann....all of those in the path are in my thoughts. It's hard to believe all this is happening.
(((((Katie)))) I can only speak for myself but you didn't offend me. We all share the ups & downs in our lives. Keeping you all in my thoughts.
Sue, great job deciding to workout right after work. Routine is the ONLY way I can fit exercise in my life.
Emily! Wonderful! Things are working out & all will be well. You'll be a beautiful MOB and all your hard work & OP living is paying off!
Fran, Congratulations on being OP for 6 months! That's awesome!!!
Sandi, Congratulations on the 2 lbs GONE! Fantastic! Hope the hip settles down.
Dawn, you fared better than you had expected, that's good! Hope things settle down for you soon. Hope you rmeal planning went well!
Breaking out of our usual routine, my friend & I took our bike ride today. It was such a perfect way to start the day. We worked extra hard, I think, because I am tired & sore from it. But as Katie would say, it's a good sore!
Off to spot clean a rug again. Off topic for sure, but our all white kitty got into the red paint we are using! You should see her, poor thing. Not sure how we'll get it all off of her. The only house damage wa a bit of rug, but I think I can get it all out.
Hope you all have the BEST day today! I'm sipping Fresca and working around the house.

xena
Happy Hysterversary Toni!!! Hope tonight's supper is kinder to you than yesterday's.

Hi BEST s
I'm feeling better, but still not OP... but today was planned this way: after all, I have to allow myself to enjoy home-made pizza, right
((((Dawn)))) Great news about your MIL!!! Sounds like there's still quite some ways to go. Hope things are improving in your classroom.
WooHoo ((((Sandi)))) Kudos on the two pounds... but, shh, I wouldn't want to jinx anything.
((((Fran)))) Kudos on the jeans floating on you: isn't that a great feeling? Hope the insurance issues work themselves out.
(((Katie)))) So sorry you were hurt. Hope you and your family are doing better Prayers are going your way.
((((Emily))))) Isn't that frustrating how a "little" thing like that can cause so much stress. I hope you'll have lots of pictures of you in that awesome dress!!!
(((Sue)))) Kudos on taking actions to ensure that you make it to the gym!!! I know that, where I'm concerned, the most important thing is that I be able to work the workout within my busy schedule: that's why my PACE works out for me.
(((Toni)))) I'm exhausted just reading your post!!! That's exactly how DD feels after her soccer training: drained, she's put so much effort in the training!!!
((((Xena)))))) Isn't an early morning bike ride exhalting? At least, that's the way I feel by the time I get to work, in the morning... and soooooo ready for the day ahead!!!!
Hope that ((((Ann)))) and all the other members who are or may be in the path of Jeanne are staying safe.
I'll try and post later today.

Sunday ~ September 26th
Hi Everyone! Just a quick check in here.
Food today has been very OP. I'm working hard on this again and so far, so good. Now, if I can just keep it up.
I'm getting ready to walk soon, so that will be done. But I'd do that regardless.
We're making the chicken that your put over the beer can to cook. And it steams with beer flavor. I found a holder that will hold two chickens at once, and not tip over. I love it. It's called, "The Twins". I found it at the company called Solutions. They have a web-site if you're interested. I'll let everyone know how the chicken is. I think being able to roast two at once (since I'm roasting one anyway) will prove to be useful in planning additional OP meals.
{{{{{Katie}}}}}, Congrats coming your way.
Emily, Glad the dress fit. I agree, you would have stressed less if you knew it was only the lining.
Dawn, All that mess and only 1 pound. That's great. Keeping you in my thoughts for a speedy clean up.
Sandi, Hope your hip gets to feeling better.
Fran, Enjoy that lunch!
Sue, You sound so ready for the gym, way to go!
Toni, We must all be in chicken mode today.
Xena, Poor kitty, I hope you can get her clean. Chevy walked in the newly painted pool a few years ago, with the Epoxy paint. He left blue prints on the sidewalk. It took me awhile to get it off his feet.
Hi Dany.
I hope everyone has a great OP day. Hurricane ladies, stay safe!
Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers. We need this season to finally end. I think November 15th is the official end to Hurricane season. It won't come soon enough for the people in Florida, I know.
Take care all!
Have a BEST OP day!
