help! i need a surgery alternative!!

i am having a hysterectomy around the first of the year, i need help on something to try for my severe symptoms with my period until then, my doctor will not work with me on anything for my symptoms until then, does anybody have any suggestions that i could try for the pain and sickness? thanks

SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE SUFFERING! YOUR DR SOUNDS LIKE A REAL PRAT! *punch* WHAT ARE HIS REASONS FOR NOT GIVING YOU SOMETHING? I WOULD BE HAVING A TALK WITH HIM! IF HE STILL DOES NOT OFFER ANY RELIEF CAN YOU GO AND SEE SOMEONE ELSE? PERHAPS YOU COULD SPEAK TO A PHARMACIST ABOUT YOU SYMTOMS AND THEY COULD SUGGEST SOME OTC MEDS.

MY DOCTOR THINKS THAT I AM LIKE MY MOTHER, WHICH IS A PERSCRIPTION DRUG ABUSER. HE KNOWS ALL THE MEDICATION THAT I TAKE AND NONE OF THIS SHOULD COMPAIR ME TO MY MOTHER. HE HAS THE RESULTS OF MY PROBLEMS AND STILL REFUSES TO GIVE ME ANY COMFORT, DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOULD SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR, I REALLY WANT TO, BUT THIS IS THE ONLY GYNO. THAT I HAVE EVER USED! THANKS.

This is just my own opinion but YES I would see another DR! He SHOULD NOT be comparing you to your mum! IF he is totally aware of everything that you take and your history and you are not giving him any reason to suspect you of being an "abuser" than I would go to another DR! Good luck and please let me know what you decide!

Did your doc give you a diagnosis for your symptoms? I would urge you to go for a 2nd or even a 3rd medical opinion.

I got a 2nd & 3rd opinion and still went again untill some gave me the name of a hospital that did UFE. The last Dr. I wentt to hadn"nt even examined me and he came in smiling and said "you need a hysterectomy" !take care
