bladder attached to uterus!!!!

Has anyone else ever had or even heard of this???? After my surgery....my Dr told my DSO that when he got inside....he found my bladder in the wrong place and it was attached to the side of my uterus!!!! He though it might have happened when I had a c-section 25 years ago....that my old Dr didnt put my bladder back where it belonged....so it actually attached itself and grew to the side of my uterus......yikes!!!! My Dr said it took quite a bit of work to separate them.....please if anyone else has had this happen.....let me know....it has me quite puzzled!!!!

things attaching themselves

I don't have any experience with this, but if you go to the top of the page and click on Resources, then do a search for adhesions, you might find some information.

Maybe you are the first, and you can write an article about it to inform the rest of us!

I hope you get it all straightened out, a big to you.

bladder attached to uterus!!!!

I had adhesion surgery on 8/25 and dr was supposed to go in and remove my remaining ovary but instead I was full of adhesions and my bowel was stuck to my bladder and intestine. He had to remove the adhesions and put the organs back to where they belong. Needless to say, the ovary was not taken out. He said that I was so raw after he finished that he didn't want to "dig" for the ovary. Adhesions are nasty and unfortunately we all get them. My dr shot in heparin and something else to keep them from forming quickly. Don't know if it worked because the pain is back and my back hurts sooo bad. My tummy where the ovary is is very tender to the touch. There was a small cyst on it also. You might have had adhesions since yours sounds like what I had done.

bladder attached to uterus!!!!

Yes, my mother's uterus was attached to her bladder also. Her surgery took longer because of this. I guess it's just one of those things that happens. My mother did not have any c-sections and the doctor did not offer any explaination as to why it was that way.

When I had my LAVH a few months ago I was told I had a heart shaped uterus, it was in two lobes....lol Who knows why?

Oh well, I guess it will stay one of lifes little mysteries.

Good health to you!!

bladder attached to uterus!!!!

Adhesions after c-sections and tubals are very common. I had a laparoscopy 1-1/2 years after my tubal and my bladder, colon, overies, uterus and fallopian tubes were stuck and moved all over the place. 9 years later I just had a hysterectomy and because of my hystery of adhesions I had to have an abdominal hysterectomy with a huge incision.
