Post Op Exercise??

I am 4 weeks post-op, and wonder if it is okay that I have been exercising. I feel fine, but don't want to "undue" anything. I have been speed-walking on my treadmill and doing a 40 minute beginner level Balance ball workout. I worry that I will get a prolapsed vagina or fallopian tube. Any thoughts on this one?

Post Op Exercise??

At my post-op at 3 and a half weeks, my gyn gave me the OK for "normal activities" including hiking, dancing and sex. But she did say not to do situps until 5 weeks post-op. I'm sure it varies from person to person and doctor to doctor. I'd ask your doctor. I suspect you're fine. The day after my post-op I went on a hike in the mountains. I took it slow and careful on the rough steep rocks, and did fine.

Post Op Exercise??

I was not cleared to resume exercising until after 6 weeks - and then I was told to gradually and gently resume. Be sure to check with your doctor first.

exercise

Cleared at 6 weeks for just about anything that doesn't challenge the prolapse repairs. However, at 8 1/2 weeks, I still swell in the pelvic area if I do too much.

Post Op Exercise??

Hello ladies, I had my TVH/BSO on 9-21-04 and just had my 2 week post op check up and my doc gave me the go ahead for light exercise. She says I can do situps and just about anything else as long as I take it easy at first. Still can not have sex.
