Freaking Out!

O.K.! I knew this whole ordeal has had me upset, but until I went to my OB/GYN today and he had me to sign the form stating that I understood that I would no longer have children, Whew! I am in total flip out mode now! I have felt sorry for myself and cried all evening. I will be glad when Monday the 4th gets here! This pre-op wait has got to be the worst of this whole surgery! I am having PMS on top of everything else! My back and tummy hurt so bad! I left his office so upset today that I forgot to get a refill on my pain meds which I will be out of after just 2 more pills! Ugh! What am I going to do with myself! I will have to get up and call his office in the morning. I've got to get my head back on straight and breathe. Thanks for letting me vent! This site is awesome! Even though I can't actually talk to any of you, I know that you read the posts and that you are all such caring ladies! Thanks! Don't know what I'd do without this site! Ronda

Freaking Out!

Ronda ,

Relax and keep thinking positive. The waiting really is the hardest part. I am a big chicken and was scared before my surgery and it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had expected.

It is a very emotional time and add on PMS, pain and the end of childbearing days and I can totally understand how you feel. Do something special for yourself. Call your doctor in the morning and get more meds (don't forget to stop taking whatever meds your doctor told you to prior to your surgery) and feel free to vent if you need to.

Just think...this time next week it will be all over! Good luck! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Freaking Out!

Hi Rondaroo,

You are almost there.

Keep as busy as you can, and try to do some "me" things for yourself - a bit of pampering is never a bad idea.

In the Pre-Op Hints (click here) , - you will find an article on relaxation tips, which may be helpful.

best wishes

Freaking Out!

Hi - this is my first post

I am due to have my surgery on Monday as well

I am also very scared - I have 3 small kids and they are very tearful and worried so I am having to be brave for them

Good luck on Monday

Freaking Out!

Rhonda,

I agree ...try to keep yourself as busy as possible and do some things just for you. PMS doesn't help either, so now really is the time to pamper yourself
That's what I'm trying to do, (keep busy) and mine is still a week away (8th). I have moments when I freak out, but then I just keep telling myself to think how much better I'm going to feel when I'm on the other side.
I hope everything goes well and that Monday comes quickly for you.
Best Wishes,
Kim
