I don't know about anyone else, but my husband is taking of the day of and day after my surgery. You will have to have someone to bring you home from the hospital & some hospitals like you to have someone there during surgery.

Good luck

After seeing me through 3 c-sections and a gallbladder surgery with NO HELP!!!! my DH decided that it would be in HIS best interest to take off 3 weeks with me this time. It actually turned out to be a very good thing for us. (just so happens the kids were all in school ) He didn't get paid for it, but the time was well worth it for us!

My husband took off the day of surgery and the day after surgery. He would have took off more days, but I said no. I have talked to some people on here that have needed someone there for a lot longer than I did . Everyone is different. Honestly, I needed him more days than I got him.

Best wishes to you and lots of s

My surgery is on a Wed. But hubby only has 3 1/2 vaction days left so he is taking off the day of and working thurs and friday as I will be in the castle still and the nurses can take car of me. Thats their job right. So he can take the whole next week off and most of it will be paid. He isn't taking wed as a vaction day just off and he is using all vacation for the next week so only 1 1/2 days not paid but if I feel okay I might send him back a little early. His boss is really a great guy and he told him not to worry about it he would take care of him. Don't really know exactly what he meant by it but it is reasuring. Besides I don't really want him there during the day at the castle. I love him but he always wants to talk and I don't think I will be much for conversation. I can rest as I want and he can work.
