Those feelings are normal and may subside or even disappear overtime.

If you keep your ovaries, you might.

I have found (I'm in the middle of my second "cycle" since my hyster) that my symptoms are greatly reduced.

I still get tender breasts, but no sign of the backache I got during my period (I think that had to do with the heavy bleeding and pressure from fibroids). I get a little crabby and I might be a little bloated (it's hard to tell with the swelly belly). I find it all very manageable - much better than the heavy bleeding, clots and drained feeling.

Take care.

My hyst was in June, and I have no IDEA where I am in my cycle at any given time. I still have my ovaries, but have NO symptoms of PMS, or anything else for that matter.

I had horrible periods....crime scene bleeding, clots the size of Texas, and curled up in a ball sobbing in pain. I am so happy to be rid of my useless uterus.

I was told you could still have those symptoms. Because it is your hormones that produce them. I have one ovary left and I have symptoms around the time that I ovulate. A little bloating (but better, much better than it was before), and a few baby sharp pains over the ovarie, and munchies, oh yes those darn munchies. But everything is oh so much better than before. My life has completely changed since my surgery in July! It is wonderful!
