surgery date set

Hello all my fellow sisters. it's been awhile since my last post but I've been real busy with my hubby coming home from Kuwait and my oldest daughters birthday. I had my first preop on the 28th of Sept and my actual surgery date was set for November 4th. I feel alot better after having talked to my doctor about all that was worrying me and I'm not so scared anymore. But she did put me on an antideppressant and has sent me to talk to a life skills counselor because of the hard time I have been having accepting that I won't have any more children. But I'm doing good for now. Wish me luck.

Bless your heart! I'm well beyond childbearing age, but it must be difficult. Thank God for those babies you've got, though. I miscarried 4 and lost a preemie, so I do sort of understand your heavy heart. s

I ALMOST had a date today. They called me to set it for October 20....but 10 minutes later called back because of of the doctors won't be able to make it so they'll need to reschedule...I"m in limbo again.

I'll be on the better side by then, but I'll remember you in my my prayers.

I just love the "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". Those are words to live by. Thank you for sharing that.

I wish you all the luck on your upcoming surgery. You will be a princess on my birthday. Although the post op weeks aren't that great, the pre op weeks were worse. Keep yourself busy.

i do understand how you are feeling, i am 36 due to have a hysto dec 6th 2004. i dont have much time, keeping myself occupied with reading on hysterectomy... i guess what scares me most is that i am a R.N. and i have seen so many things during my nursing career. take care sandy
