Stomach Pain

Hello,
I also had 2 c-sections before my hyst. The dr said I had a lot of adhesions to cut out. My belly button is really tender. I also take stool softners every day and drink warm lemonade to help my bm to be softer. It really helps me. When you went to the ER did you get to see your dr? I'm not sure if I would take laxitives for a long period of time. I would check with my reg dr first. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Take care..

Stomach Pain

Glad you've checked it all out with the Dr. I too still still experience tenderness up under my belly button! I really believe it's just the soft tissue settling in after all the trauma it's been through! In my minds eye I picture the OR staff assisting the dear DR in opening us up, pawing through guts like the sales table at Macy's! Then I think there is some tap dancing that occurs on our abdomines....then they remove what they're there for...and touch everything in the "neighborhood"!

Now does that "picture" help understand why we're tender everywhere!!!!! Oh and this is meant to be encouraging!!!!!!!!!!

Laxatives can't hurt either! I'm a huge believer in the easier you can keep the digestive track moving the less pressure and pain from the previous description!

Hang in there honey!!! It really does get better!

Stomach Pain

Thank you for your post! I was thinking about asking about pain below my belly button. I had a TAH with lots of scar tissue and endo. almost 7 weeks ago. I too have much tenderness/pain in the area just below my belly button. Thank you all for sharing, this is reassuring and seems to be a typical healing symptom.

Hugs,

Barbara

Stomach Pain

Thanks for sharing all this valuable information. I too have had problems with stomach pain around my belly button. I had much scar tissue and my old incision was also cut out. I now understand a little more why I hurt so much. Also having those bowel problems. Pain is very severe. Dr. put my on stool softener and it has helped a little. My iron level is extreemely low, but they can't help too much as it will overdue on the bowels. What a time! I'm soooo tired all the time. I'm back at work and after working an unusually long day worked my regular 8 hrs. and then had to work another 4 hours into the evening. My stomach was very sore and swollen. Today, I'm still very touchy and a little sore. How long does this happen?

I thought it was interesting the ER doctor put you on laxatives, and then your doctor said you had a UTI. Personally, I do not trust ER doctors at all (sorry if I'm offending anyone, here)! I've been in a lot of pain these past few days, but REFUSED to go the ER because I knew (from past experiences) they'd tell me something stupid and totally unrelated to what was actually going on!!

Good thing you followed up with your own doctor!!
