Philippians 4:5-7

4 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
5 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.

6 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.

Daniel 4:2-3

2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God has wrought toward me.

3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

I just love the book of Philippians (you can tell from my signature) and especially chapter 4. To me, these scriptures are at the heart of my relationship with Jesus. He is saying, if you will come to me with ALL of your needs, I will give you peace that is far greater than your mind can comprehend.

I do pray about everything, little things and big things. They are all important to Him. When my dad had emergency open heart surgery, I had this type of peace. When I had my surgery, I had utter peace. When I have a stressful project at work, when I finally give it to God to take care of, I have such peace! This world is so full of chaos and turmoil. It is wonderful to know the peace that only Jesus can give you. To those who have never experienced it, it is hard to describe.

The last part of this verse is,"His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus" NLT. There is such a connection between the heart and the mind and peace! If your mind is set on Christ, and filled with things of Christ, and not of this world, it will show through your heart.
Here are some other bible verses I like that show the connection:
Matthew 22:37, "Love the Lord your God with all your HEART and with all your soul and with all your MIND. "
Romans 8:6 "The MIND controlled by the spirit is life and PEACE."
Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your HEART, for it affects everything you do."
Proverbs 23:7 "So as a man THINKS in his HEART, so is he.
Colossians 3:15 "Let the PEACE that comes form Jesus Christ rule in your HEARTS."
