Good Morning

Well today is the day - I set off for manchester university in just under half an hour ... feeling very very shaky and nauseous ... will have to practice controlled breathing (all the way there!)

Anyway - have a last few minutes to cram stuff into my already overpacked brain - so will catch you later ...

Love Toni xxxxxx

Hi everyone,

Toni - good luck today. Will send along some good positive thoughts to you in manchester.

I'm paying for non-opness of the last few days. I feel sooo sluggish and bloated. I will be alot better after shopping today! I've weighed myself and I'm the same as last week. I'm pleased tho cos at least I haven't gained those recently lost pounds back.

breakfast is cornflakes with yoghurt. lunch ... hmm .. perhaps poached egg on toast. and dinner will be the meal we were meant to have on Saturday. Snacks will be fruit, fruit and yet more fruit. I've got some nicely ripe bananas so may make a banana loaf or similar. I've got some recipe books (including WW) from the library last week and am gonna copy some that I fancy.

I'm gonna shoot off. Have a wonderful day everyone, may pop back later,

Good Monday Morning....

Toni... Best wishes to you hun!!! I truly understand the anxiety that builds up in taking final exams -- I remember that craziness. I'm sure you will have done well... how long will it take to find the results of the exam?

This weekend was truly the BEST and just what I needed. Shirley is a wonderful hostess... and spending time with Melissa, Bliss and Shirley was just fantastic! Thanks ladies for a great weekend! Very relaxing & informative...

So here I am getting ready for another work week & a renewed committment to OPness. Did not get out to food shop yesterday evening, so food will be purchased today. I do have a banana and soy yogurt for snacks... lunch will be a salad -- haven't decided about breakfast yet. I'll be stopping to pick up a few things on the way home so I can do a crock pot soup this week.

Well... off to get the day going. Hi to all -- including you Musk!

Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadian sisters, good luck to Toni of her exams, and hope FrightFest was wonderful.

DH finally started feeling better on Friday, but Sunday was the first time in two weeks that he was up and around all day with no headache. So it appears that viral meningitis was the cause. Very glad that it is resolving, although he still has some odd symptoms that hopefully will clear soon.

With DH feeling better, this weekend turned into me cooking whatever he felt like eating and I ate right along with him. Luckily it is now Monday and I can get back into my "better" eating patterns.

Good luck Toni!!!!
Wow, Lisa, hope your DH feels better real soon!
Sue, glad you had a nice time at Shirley's!
Hi musk!
Today it is chilly and cloudy. Fall is definitely in the air. I hardly ate at all this weekend due to the IBS flare-up so hopefully today I will be more OP so to speak and drink my water and green tea. Curves later on tonight if I am feeling up to it. Need to do a ton of laundry so I am off........

Emily s for all!!!!

Well Lisa, I am so glad to get your report. I had been wondering how the tests went. First time in 2 weeks, that's alot of headaches, the poor guy. You must have been so worried. Right, now you can get back on board and be OP. It'll help you feel better in many ways!

Mmmmmmmmmmm, crock pot soup, Sue! That sounds wonderful. So glad you got to go to Frightfest!!!!! Sister time is awesome and like no other. It is amazing how we "know" each other, isn't it? There's just no shy time.

Musk, poached egg on toast, delicious. Love that. Have fun going through the cookbooks and making your own OP recipe file!
Let us know if you hit any real winners, ok?

Toni, it's E day! Wow!! By now you are already there, of course, but you are in my thoughts & if vibes can soothe you, you are now the Queen of Calm, Cool, and Collected! Your sisters are sending out the good thoughts! Let us know how you feel later on.

Kids are off today so we'll do something fun, maybe go see this movie we heard of that is supposed to be really dumb/funny. Sounds good to me, just make me laugh, please. Then maybe I'll be able to talk them into a walk or ride on a nature trail. BIG maybe there.
Friends had a birthday party for their daughter last night & have tons of leftover pizza so we're going there for supper tonight. I'll make a salad. Then off we go to Yoga. Breakfast will be cereal.
Lunch, probably soup & sandwiches.

Hope you all have a great day & an OP kickoff to the week!

xena

Hey Emily, glad you're feeling better! Good luck getting your things done today! I forgot about green tea. Thanks for the reminder, think I'll make some, too!

Monday 11th October

Hi all!
Good Luck Toni, hope all goes well!
Well, I'm moving so fast, my feet mustn't be touching the ground! They're so short staffed in work, they've got me going 9 - 3. I'm running everywhere in between, trying hard to fit everything in.
MLee, half of my stuff is still around and about in the van, and the hall. Working my way through the washing mountain!
Meals today were a pear for breakfast, a banana and 2 chocolate biccies for lunch/snack.
Early tea was a chicken breast fillet, and 3 new potatoes and a bit of salad, thought I'd better eat it up now, or I'd be eating rubbish and maybe wasting it later.
Got netball club for eldest DD, followed by brownies. Got to nip to town now and pay a couple of bills, then it'll be just washing and ironing this evening.
weighed myself this morning, and I've lost 2lbs. I am now 1lb less than I was going in hospital for my op. I am so pleased. Its taken me 6 hard long months to lose 7lbs, but there is a sense of pride in it, that keeps me from putting it back on again, and if I can get this hormone balancing thing right, I'll be on track to losing another pound or two in October.
to you all, I may find 5 mins to post back later!

Good Morning!

It's a misty, moisty morning here, which means sunshine later.

Lisa -- That is tremendous news about your DH. What a relief!

TONI -- You are feeling calm, calm, but alert. You have easy access to all the knowledge in your mind. . . That's a bit of Hystersister Hypnosis headed your way. Good luck! Although, with the way you've been studying, you probably don't need any luck to do well.

xena -- You mentioned walking or riding on a nature trail. Did you mean horses, bikes or something else? I'll go if the kids won't.

I'm feeling very accomplished today because over the weekend I got a second computer going and on line. Its operating system was goofed up and DH (the programmer!) couldn't get it working. I did it by doing something that didn't make sense. Second, I got DH to buy new shoes -- his others had holes in the soles. Third, I noticed DH was leaving for work without his laptop and caught him before he left.

Pretty OP so far as I haven't started eating yet.

Hia

I did it - my final one over and done with YIPEE ... just hope I pass now !! I have definately passed the course, just need the exam as well, so even if I do fail I can resit in october next year, without having to take the whole year again ... anyway feel very relieved, done ironing and sorted out one of the many cupboards tonight, and even watched some TV !!

Need to think about getting back to OPness, but with all the nerves, my eczema has flared up on my hands & fingers ... and they are feeling painful tonight (can it be possible that you ignore the pain because your thoughts are elsewhere?)

Anyway, plan to swim tomorrow, and regain my crown for BEST swimmer galores ..... anyone up for catching the ducks

Can't remember if I told you about DS yesterday ... he ran 1000 m .. at his athletics day for cub scouts I AM A PROUD MUM !!!

Anyway - thanks for all your kudos, much appreciated !

Hello BEST Friends

This is the first time I've found to post since getting home from FrightFest 04. We had a wonderful weekend at Shirley's house. And an extra evening with Bliss was extra special. It so nice to spend time with "sisters" just having girl time. Got Bliss off to the airport in good time for her flight. Hope she had a smooth trip home.

I helped DH with the bathroom project today. He had a great time cursing and sending me up and down the stairs for things he needed. Seems like men can't do anything without cursing at it (as if that's gonna make it work easier?).

Warming up leftovers for dinner - "special chicken" from the other
night. BKFT was bacon and french toast, lunch was chicken salad.

Got to run, dinner's ready. I'll be back later to read the weekends posts. Chio!

Hugs - Melissa

P.S. I'll post the pics as soon as I can.
Toni - hope you did well on your exam.
Fran - woohoo for you - down 1 net lb!! Way to go.
Lisa - glad your DH was finally able to get up. Are they going to confirm the Dx?
