6 months post op 8)

Hi there:

I havent been visiting much but i think about this page a lot. i also tell ppl daily about this web site and hope they visit.
I am 6 months post-op and feel terrific, I Feel better then I have ever felt in my life! I am so grateful to the wonderful surgeon who helped me with no questions asked she knew my quality of life sucked!!!
I went for a long bike ( mt bike ) ride today andit was so wonderful not to be in any pain any longer and have to stop early. Even my husband was happy, I pulled over at one point and started to cry happy tears of joy because as corny as it sounds i feel i have a new lease on life now and its grrrrrrrrreat
Yeah I have some very small side effects from it but i have more energy then before and its wonderful. I cant say much more but this christmas i am extremley grateful , 2 christmas's ago, i was getting out of the hospital from my second surgery and recovering, now that will no longer be ( at least due to ovarian problems)
all I really want to say is
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!!!!!!!

Thanks, Pyglet!

Hi Cassandra,

I loved reading your post...I'm getting close to 6 months post-op, and remember you on the boards a lot when I first registered here...now I'm a hostess!

Thanks for this most encouraging post...that is so great! When my DH and I played a good game of indoor tennis, I felt much the same way as you did when I didn't have to "quit early".

It is wonderful for the LIWs and newly-crowned sisters to read your story. The early weeks can seem to drag on for an eternity when your activities are so limited, and we all want to imagine that "new lease on life".

Your post was a lovely Christmas gift to us! God bless us every one!

Linda

Cassandra-
Thanks for your post. I love it when "veteran" ladies come back to tell how well they are doing.
I am approaching the 3 month mark soon. Although I still have early evening fatigue (working on my stamina) and swelly belly in the evening also, for the most part I feel great!

6 months post op 8)

I had my 6 month anniversary on the 19th. and I have to agree this is the best I have felt in a long time. This is the first holiday season in a long time that I haven't been sick. I admit the first couple of months were rough, but all in all it was well worth it.I'm still plagued with swelly belly once in a while, but not like it was, and I thought that I had found someones extra weight, that they lost, but--am happy to say, that though the weight may have rearranged itself,I haven't gained any. Hang in there newly post op ladies, it gets real good after awhile. Merry Christmas to all.
