Wink - Post Op Transvaginal Tape Post Op Transvaginal Tape

Just wondering if anyone has had bladder cramping after Tvt procedure? Iam three weeks post op! I would welcome any input! In one more week I see the Dr. for post op visit! Also, my stream of urine has considerably slowed since this procedure! Iam guessing this must be normal??

Post Op Transvaginal Tape

Hi there.

I have not had the cramping but the flow has definately changed for me. I feel like I can't wait any longer but I get in the bathroom and it's like a leaking faucet.

Definately know what you mean by that. I go back to be released in a week. I am definately going to ask about it.

If you hear anything please let us know.

Do you feel you are going more freq also?

Post-Op TVT

Hi. I am new here but can relate. I am one week post-op today from a TAH, TVT bladder suspension, rectocele and vaginal repair. From the moment the foley was taken out (the day after surgery) I have been bothered by bladder cramps. I was put on pyredium(sp?), as the surgeon said this is quite a common thing she sees in her practice. Seems the bladder is quite sensitive to all that manipulation. The medicine helps alot because it stops the cramps, allows me to empty fully, and keeps me from feeling like i have to go every 10 minutes. The surgeon said it is not uncommon for a patient to be on this medication for up to a month. I am just thankful for it. It is sold over the counter now, I believe its called uripass but not certain on that name. Anyone? Check with your doc and see if that may be right for you? I wish you luck, none of this is easy.

Post Op Transvaginal Tape

Dear Mary:

I am 3 weeks post op (TVH, TVT) 9/28/04 and my flow has slowed a lot. First it was dribble and drip , but now its getting better. I've had a lot of discomfort, kinda like a pulled rubber band...I just try to relax. The worst part was that I couldn't go pee on my own after they took the cath out the day after surgery.

Hope this helps ya out

Dee
