Morning all, and to Peggy (Hope my brain is remembering the right name, or I will be very )
Woken this morning by 2 idiots fluying down the road doing at least 60mph.
Well, breakfast will be toast with the new fresh bread that I picked up from the shop on the way home from work yesterday.
Lunch will be a j.potato, I didn't get one yesterday, I had cheese with toast that me and my boss made.
Dinner will be a bit of chicken and salad that we will be buying and taking over to MIL after I have finished work.
DH was supposed to be working today, and DDs doing to DNDN (Dear Next Door Neighbour) but it poured down all night, and so he's not going, so I don't need to wake anybody up now, just lay the kids clothes out ready, and scoot!
I absolutely HATE working on saturdays, I'm doing 11-4 so its not too bad. I'm just thinking of my pay packet, and the money I'll have to buy christmas prezzies!
I have to confess that I am absolutely NOT the organised type, I thrive on last minute challenges(lol) but with changing all the bedrooms around etc, I thought it would be best if I ironed and put away all the clothes, instead of the eternal ironing pile (When the DDs were small and I didn't work, I was always up to date) but in the last couple of years I have got really lazy, and started doing it as needed. I must admit, its nice to be able to open the wardrobe doors and we can all just wear the clothes, instead of getting clothes off the pile and ironing them then!
Maybe this is part of the new, improved and organised me??
Well, gotta go, had a lie in and tummy is growling!
to all who follow me, and lurk.

Good Morning Fran.K !
I too was rudely awakened at this awful hour of 6 AM (on a Saturday no less) by one of my darling cats. It's seems there was a blank spot in the food dish. He gets very anxious when it is not brimming over with cat crunchies...
So I am having my coffee and thinking about my day. Yesterday went pretty well but I was so tired I didn't get my walk in. I will make up for that today. Breakfast will be oatmeal and an apple, lunch a nice salad and for dinner pork tenderloin cooked on the grill with green beans. Perhaps DH and I will split a baked sweet potato. I never can eat a whole one....why are all of the ones in the market so huge?
It's still dark out but hopefully the rain is over and it will be a nice day.
All the best to everyone!
Peggy

Good morning, all!
Sorry about the rude awakenings so far this morning! I'm awake because Bella was feeling lonely and decided under the covers next to Mom was the only place to be...
I was OP yesterday and will be today. Bfast will be Cracklin Oat Bran, lunch a Michlena 190 cal Greek salad, dinner is DH's - that means probably burgers on the grill despite the 50 degree temps and rain.
Work was crazy yesterday but had a kinda sorta I think maybe MO moment??? Some guy flirted with me. It's been so long since someone's flirted with me besides DH - it took me a while to figure it out - but, yep, I'm pretty sure that's what he was doing! LOL
Today will be busy - continuing with the winterization project. High temps next week are only supposed to be in the 40s - so I guess we really are going to have winter this year after all. I try to go into each year with a positive attitude - hoping that we won't have a winter. So far it hasn't worked. Except for the years in California...
Hope you're all having a wonderful OP weekend with plenty of sunshine and just the right amount of excitement!

Hi girls!!
It's a wonderful 51 degrees outside -- coolest morning we've had in a loooooong time!! Just got back from my morning with Brandy. Laundry's going, will have cereal and a banana in a minute, then head to the gym for , then a haircut (badly needed and I'm sure I'll feel better afterwards!! ) and hoping to come home and spend the afternoon being lazy in the yard with a book.
Someone asked yesterday what Yogalattes is. Most of you know I recently changed gyms. My new gym has a Pilates class on Mon and a Yoga class on Fri, and a Yogalattes class on Wed..........which is actually just a combination of the two. In this particular class we use a Fitball, and it's a killer class. I'm always sore afterwards. (BTW these classes are scheduled immediately after step-aerobics classes........which, with the way things have been going, I haven't gotten to yet.........but things have calmed down now and I've decided I am definitely going to make the step classes next week........don't know if I'll stay for the classes afterwards, sometimes I do two in a row, sometimes not). My BodyPump classes are scheduled for Tues, Thurs, and Sat mornings.
BSQ ~~ I was really impressed with the amount of milage you're walking these days!! Along with your other workouts!! Way to go, girl!!!
Dinner last night was a piece of salmon that I drizzled a little bit of honey and maple syrup on.......mmmmmm. Roast potatoes and steamed broccoli went with it.
I am still stiff and sore from getting back to the gym and doing all that yard work, but know that the best thing for me is to just keep working thru it. No gym for me tomorrow and no yard work either...........Sunday is going to be my day of rest!! (Well yea I say that now, but I'm looking around at the inside of the house.........needs a major cleaning but it the weather's nice, I'll be outside in the and we all know it).
Have a great weekend girls!!
HUGS --
Ann

Morning all
I had busy day at work yesterday. It was a meeting all day which I find more tiring than regular work but it was all overtime so now I have 12 hours banked comptime. Then a lazy evening and lazy morning. Today is full of housework. My girls are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thrilled NOT Oh well. It must be done.
I have been very OP and feeling good. Breaky was steak. Lunch is tuna and dinner is pork roast cauliflower with sauce and salad. So all is well.
Ann seems like you are getting back into a routine after all the storms and chaos in your life. I am so happy you got your money back from the trip.
Welcome Peggy. I hope you enjoy your time here at Best.
Morning Fran. I hated working on weekends to. I used to do shift work. Hubby still does. SO it is tough. I now work Mon-Fri. Sorry about your rude awakening. That is tough. We dont have that problem but we have had construction vehicles wake us up at some ridiculous hour. They are building so many new homes behind us.
Hi to everyone else.
I hope you have a nice weekend

Good morning all!
Busy morning so far. Yoga is done and it's feeling better each day, so I think something is loosening up. Got the pot of soup going--love cleaning out the freezer of tidbits for that. It should be a wonderful combo of chicken, ham, beef, and lots of veggies. It will be nice to have it simmering all day. Today is a 10 on the beautiful fall day scale. Hope to get out some later, but have a gentleman coming to look at our Andersen windows later. Some have warped a bit and they are still under warranty according to him. Guess I better get in the shower--he's not due for a while, but just in case.
Breakfast so far has been hot tea and a couple of sausage links. They just appealed to me when I went grocery shopping the other day. Only eat sausage a few times a year.
They cleared the lot next to us yesterday. Kind of sad. We have had that lot as a buffer to our property since we've lived here, so it's kind of a shock to look out the bedroom window and see daylight instead of woods if you know what I mean. Hope we get some great neighbors out of it!
Fran--In the past, ironing clothes ahead of time would not have worked because I had so many jammed in my closet. I could probably do it now. I am not sure though--I tend to be one of those people who rifles through my clothes looking for just the right thing for the day, my mood, etc. Hope your work day goes as well as possible for a Saturday!
Peggy--The pork tenderloin sounds great! I usually can't eat a huge sweet potato either so DS and I tend to share. The last few I have gotten have been very tough, which has been disappointing.
Sandi--What a wonderful MO! Nothing like feeling like a sexy mama--I am sure DH will reap the rewards so he won't mind!
Ann--The salmon sounds divine--I need to try that next time since we always have our honey on hand and a bit of maple syrup. I know you'll work those kinks out soon!
Katie--All your meals today sound great to me! Don't work the girls too hard, mom! Give them lots of short breaks. I remember cleaning days with my mom--ugh. (She never thought it was clean unless you'd taken 8 hours to do it.) I know you make it fun though--bet there's lots of laughter on a cleaning day in your household!
Emily--Hope you have a successful day! I rarely curtail my water drinking, but then I try to know where the bathrooms are.
Have a great Saturday all!
Shirley

 Morning girls!
Just got back from taking Dad to get his flu shot. The shot clinics in town are so busy that police are blocking off streets! Lines of cars are wrapped around buildings and blocks, certainly there are hundreds of them. We got there nice & early so it took aruond an hour & a half. Not bad.
Then we had a non-OP breakfast out together. Nice.
Today is blustery & cold! I'm staying IN! Will do house things. Supper will probably be left over corned beef & cabbage, which was wonderful, btw. Comfy food.
I'll be brewing hot tea soon, and we have cider so we may warm some of that up later for a dessert treat. Sounds good, huh?
I'm a little sore from yoga but, in the famous words of our dear Katie, it's a good sore!
Peggy, you made me laugh about the cat dish. Ours is the same way. Poor girl, she just doesn't quite feel secure without a full dish. Sorta like me, I'm afraid.
Hello to fran, sandi, ann, katie, shirley, & emily!!! Hope you all have a great day. Hello & to all our lurking sisters, too!

Morning everyone! Welcome Peggy! I missed that hello yesterday. Somehow I totally forgot to post yesterday. I really thought that I had. Oh well.
I had yesterday and now today to myself. DH is playing golf with his buds in Indiana today. They are freezing, but they will still play. You know, men and golf, geesh.
I just had a lovely steak on the grill and a salad for brunch. I slept in and got up hungry. This was my Sweetest Day meal to myself. So I decided why wait until tonight. I'm hungry now. So I've eaten it in, just me, in my comfy chair, in my comfy clothes.
Getting ready to go walk now. The drizzle has stopped for the time being but it's suppose to come back later. Cold and wind don't stop me from walking, but add the rain, and then I need to deal with a wet dog, and that's no fun. I can stay dry, but he just won't stay under the umbrella no matter how hard I try.
Fran, Ironing I never iron. I use to, but DH would point out mistakes, so I told him to do it. (That was 24 years ago). He now irons anything here that needs ironing (for everyone). I live for Permanent Press labels.
Hi to Fran, Peggy, Sandi, Ann, Katie, Emily, Shirley and Xena. Have a great day everyone! And Hi to everyone yet to come today.
Have a BEST OP day!

Good Afternoon BEST Friends
Sorry I missed yesterday. Will just have to catch up! Today bkft was cream of wheat (I love it) and hot tea. Lunch was a small mug of the homemade soup and a few cheese crackers. And dinner will be baked stripper fish at MIL's house. We love fish and looking forward to fresh stripper.
At this time last weekend, Shirley, myself, Bliss, and Sue were sitting in Sammy T's in Fredericksburg having a great lunch. Funny how long along it seems. Where oh where did the time go?
Peggy - Welcome to the BEST little link on the web! Glad to have you here as part of us. Looking forward to getting to know you.
Musk - 's to you. Life can be overwhelming at times can't it. You vent to us anytime you like. We're sisters after all.
Fran - Ironing? I agree with Nancy, permanent press is the way to go, lol. I only iron something if I am desperate.
Emily - MOB will be sooooo beautiful - I can see it now. I'm right behind you ready to go into the 180's!
I can't remember if I told you all or not but I have now officially lost 75lbs!! Yes, I am down to 190. Only 40 lbs to go to be at the doc's specified weight goal for me. I looked up my WW's chart and it says for me to be around (ages45+)145 which is only 5 lbs less than the doc says my losest wt should be. Whoo Hoo!!
Today is a wonderful cool, sunny, breeze day. I've got lots of chores to do but running behind. Cinnamon rolled in something you don't want to know about this morning, so had to wash him (a very stinky him) and his brother. After all you can't have one clean dog and one smelly dog, right? That put me an hour behind. Then I yacked with my neighbor for an hour and got more behind and I still plan to sit outside in the sun for an hour and read. Then maybe I can beat DH into taking a quick walk before leaving for his step-mom's house for dinner.
The leaves here in southern NJ are so beautiful today. Should be great for the Harvest Home Festival at Batsto tomorrow. Lots of walking to be had there!
Take care and lots of hugs to all -
Melissa
Ann - I'll be sending you an e-mail, watch for it.
