Aunt Flo??? It can't be you!

This is my 1st "non-time of the month" and it seems like I'm actually getting my period! What's going on? Should I be concerned? I mean there's no uterus...what's up?
What a rook!
Anybody have the same thing happen? I don't want to call the Dr. on a Sat. night.

Are you bleeding or jsut cramping? if you are cramping, that can happen, if you are bleeding call your doctor.

Aunt Flo??? It can't be you!

Moi,
I'm assuming that since you had an SAH you still have your cervix and ovaries. Well you might just be having your period. I was told post-op that I may still have one every month due to a small portion of the endometrium (lining of the uterus) being left above my cervix. I didn't not end up having any visits from Aunt Flo but I bet that is what is happening to you.

I would call your doctor on Monday for sure just to find out exactly. I'm surprised he/she didn't mention that to you.

Good luck!

I would call your doctor. If you still have a cervix it may be just a mini period but the doc should have told you about that. Bleeding needs to be investigated. Don't worry about when you call. That's why they have answering services and that's why doctors are on call for each other 24 hours a day. And you could always go to the ER if doc doesn't share on call duties.

Aunt Flo??? It can't be you!

It is the time I would normaly have my period and I have slight cramps, sore boobs and a little spotting but my Dr. said that was normal when you keep your ovaries and cervix. Anything less than gushing is fine by me!!

Hi Moi,

I'd definitely give your doc a call just to make sure what's going on for your own peace of mind.

That being said, I just had my third "non-period" period. I had a little light bleeding for three days at my first non-period time, and each time since then it's gotten lighter and shorter and mostly now seems to be only a little spotting, so I'm hoping that within a couple of months it will disappear entirely. I did call my doc and he told me that what I was experiencing was pretty normal with a SAH.

Hi everybody,
Thanks for your replies. The Dr. did say that I would probably have discharge/spotting...he failed to mention that it would be during my normal time of the month. I thought he meant when I got home from the hospital.
Have my 6 week app't in a couple of weeks, but you guys made me a lot less concerned.
Glad I didn't make those slippers out of left over pads. Ha!
