orgasms different?

Hi....I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op (abdominal hys. due to fibroid tumor). Just wondering if anyone has noticed a difference in their orgasms? We have not had actual intercourse yet....but other intimacy and I felt as if it was over almost as soon as it started for me.....MUCH less intense. Has anyone else had this? Does it get better over time? I'm only 37 and hate to think that this part of me will be changed forever!!! Help!!!

orgasms different?

Mine was more intense but harder to achieve. I'm thinking its gonna take some time. I am only 3 weeks post op. LOL I'm thinking I might be asking for too much too soon!

orgasms different?

Hopefully, it will just take time for you. I did go through a short period of time (about 2 weeks - after I was released by my doctor) where my libido was not very good. I figured it was my ovaries still asleep. It must have been because my libido is back and the big 'O' is more intense. I haven't had any problems in that area so far.

I hope that as you begin to heal and are released from your doctor that everything will work the same...if not better than before!

orgasms different?

Feeling the same kind of orgasims was very important to me and was a big concern of mine in having this surgery. That is why I elected to keep my cervic. I have two different kinds of orgasims, one clitoral and one real deep, more intense, longer, that seem to involve my uterus/cervic (possible G-spot?). I thought if I would never have those deep O's again I would be REALLY bummed.

Happily, I did find out that I can have those big one's. What a relief! Though it did take longer to achieve. I'm 3 weeks post tomorrow and I did manage to have one of those big one's...at least I know it is possible. (No intercourse, just using clitoral stim)

I tried to climax the end of the first week and it seemed by body just went "blahh", like it couldn't manage to have one. Kind of weak. I think that having them is good because of increasing circulation for healing. That's my thought anyway. Overall my "normal" climax's are less intense now but I do expect to make a full recovery as soon as I'm cleared to make Whopee!

orgasms different?

Two nights ago, I decided to see if I could have an orgasm. I wasn't really "in the mood", but because I haven't felt the need to urinate, it's been bugging me, wondering if I could achieve one.

No intercourse, just outer stimulation and it took what seemed like forever, but I did have one!!!

It was such a relief to know I'm still in working order.

Is this crazy? I'm not even a week post op and thinking about sex already!

orgasms different?

I applaud you ladies who are doing so well at one week post op! I still felt like a swollen, sore blob at one week. I had libido problems for a while afterward, but my hubby was very understanding and encouraging. And I have to admit that getting back into practice was fun. Now the libido is better than ever. It's so much nicer without that sore, swollen uterus in there--no pain or bleeding afterward. As for the big "o" mine is different than before. I don't seem to feel a definite end to it. It just sort of keeps going until I'm ready to stop. I can't say that it's better or worse--just different. Try not to let worry get the best of you. There are people out there that want you to believe that this surgery ends your sex life. In fact, I have a friend with huge fibroids who refuses to have surgery because she's read that it will make her unable to enjoy sex ever again. I'm living proof that it just ain't so! Just relax and enjoy the new you!

orgasms different?

Thank you all soooo much to all of you for replying!!!!! Thought that I was the only one to worry about my sex life and be so curious so soon after surgery. I feel better to know that I am not alone and hopefully time will increase my sensation and I can enjoy orgasms fully (esp.w/out the pain etc afterwords) !!!! This has been quite a journey both physically and emotionally and it's great to know support is just a click away......what a GREAT way for us to communicate as a group!!!!!

orgasms different?

I did a solo performance at about 3 weeks and I was devastated - it was just a shadow of what I used to feel, I was really bummed.

Then the next one was a bit better, the one after that better still. Then I had a duet with DH and things really took off - I was (and continue to be) so happy.

So either my memory is totally crap and what I have now is nothing like what I used to have OR everything is back to normal and my orgasms are great once again

Good luck ladies on your road back to bliss - we deserve to experience the heights of ecstasy after what we've been through!

You all are NUTS!! I'm telling you just NUTS! I'm 9 days PO.

I can't even think about stimulation of any kind!!!

Ofcourse right now, I'm not to happy with my hubby and his lack of support because "he is so sick" at this time. At this point my flights will be solo for a long time. I have no desire at all. I thought I did a few days ago. But that was when he was doing laundry and stuff.

*sigh* Watching my man do dishes and housework was a big turn on and I told him so and he quit. I don't get that.

Good luck to you all though and you are braver than me!
