I out of the hosp again.

Hi ladies. I'm back again. I just got back out of the hospital again yest. I had my surg (TVH) 10/4/04 2 1/2 wks ago got out after a couple of days then started to get the runs & fever 101.3
that Fri. night. It progressed over the next few days to the point the I had to crawl each time to the bathroom from my bed, then rest on the floor afterwards b-4 crawling back to bed again. I was already anemic as it was 8.6 & 8.4 upon dicharge the first time.

Then the Wed a wk after surg I had my f/u w/ my DR they had to bring me in from the pavement b/c I couldn't walk that far into the building. My DR admitted me then & there. I had GI on the case & infectios desease also b/c the couldn't stop the runs & couldn't find where my fevers were comming from.

I also got hemotology on the case b/c all of my blood work was all out of wack. The DR said so himself. My blood was twice as thin as som one on blood thinners. Also, my blood wasn't clotting propperly. My chemistry and bun creatine liver or kidney was all messed up.

Finally, Thurs night, the night that my husband, my parents, myself, even my DR was afraid that I might not make it through the night. Thankfully, my GI sent me down for a CT of my adb/pevlis. It was late at night my DR was there w/ me so much. I told him I finaly had the scan but it probably won't be read till tom. So he went down stais & looked at it and found a huge grape fruit size hematoma/ clot 300 cc that needed to be drained asap. By now my hemagobin is 6.6 and very weak in alot of pain.

The first thing the next morning I had the drain put in though my right tush to drain from my pelvis. I stared to feel a little relief right away. Thae next day I had 2 units of blood and started walking to the chair by my bed. I started to feel real good then. I was so happy I wasn't in constant pain all the time. I thank every one out ther that has ever donated blood. You DO save lives. Thank you very much.

I get another chance w/ my family again. My 22 mo old girl keeps thinking I'm gonna get up & leave again. My son's glad I'm back, I told him now he can stop crying every day at school & just have fun.

I'm sorry for this being so long but alot has happed.

God Bless,
Robin

Robin I am so sorry you had to go through all of this..but very glad to hear you will be ok How happy your kids must be to have you home again, I know it really upsets them when Mom is not well. I felt so awful when I had my hyster because I didn't want to upset or scare my kids, it just broke my heart to see them upset and worried. You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery ((hugs)) & TC!

I'm sorry you've had such a rough time, but it's good to see you back and in such good spirits.

Did you have a problem with your blood not clotting prior to the surgery or was this something new for you?

Pretty scary to think about it, but I'm so glad they found the problem.

Tab,

Actually, the only thing I had that was abnormal w/ my blood, was that I've had anemia off & on in my life just never to that extreme.

Thank you eveyone for you thoughts & prayers.

God Bless,
