Ovaries two years post

Hi Ladies,

After two years of relatively normal hormone functions and everything after my hyst, I just started to wear my Vivelle dot patch for low estrogen. (I kept my ovaries) After thyroid, hormone and other testing, that seems to be the only thing 'off' with my system so I am hoping and praying that I'll see some changes soon!

As I've shared before I've had fairly recent changes to the condition of my skin and hair, and even moods! My hair has become brittle, breaks off easily, and is shedding more. My skin is much drier (not just 'down there')... and on top of this... my moods are swinging, I am more sensitive, and I am not sleeping well through the night.

Can anyone comment on what, if any, changes they experienced in their hair and skin, as well as emotions, once they started estrogen alone?

I also wonder if it's likely that my hair totally freaked beCAUSE my estrogen was going lower? Is that reason enough alone?

THanks gals!
Cori

HI Cori,

I hope you will get releif with your estrogn patch.
I have read that estrogen does have a factor in our skin. Alot of women in the past who were in menopause would start estrogen therapy just so they didn't "wrinkle"

I have a book that states "estrogen brings a glow to the skin" So hopefully it will help you with that.

Estrogen definently has alot to do with our moods. Just ask anyone here

I hope this is exactly what you need to feel your best.
