Surgery Tomorrow Morning

Last Time I wrote my surgery for August 10th had been cancelled and only with 2 or 3 days until the surgery date. I wanted to wait until the last minute to post again. Supersticious I guess. Well, tomorrow at 7:30am EST is the time. LAVH.

Pray for me.

Surgery Tomorrow Morning

Just letting you know that the waiting is the hardest part- I had LAVH LSO yesterday morming at 9:00am, surgery lasted 2 hrs 45 minutes and recovery for 1 hour and I was up going to bathroom at 2:00PM - just 5 hours after surger began. I only used my morphine pump one time and have taken 3 pain pills. Feel lots better already and hope you do also!

Surgery Tomorrow Morning

Sharon,
I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. Waiting from August to October would've driven me crazy ! I had about 3 weeks in-between the decision and the date of the surgery. That was hard enough! The waiting, which is the worst part, is almost over. Please don't be scared.

I'm home and feeling pretty darn good. No morphine pump, only 3 pain pills so far and it has been 1 week since surgery. there is pain, but not very much at all. I am happy.

Surgery Tomorrow Morning

I came home Monday. Had to stay an extra night because I couldn't pass gas. I have a vertical incision with 45 staples and 2 drains. The bottom third of the incision is going to break open because of a collection of subcutaneous fluid. This makes it very hard to sit and very painful. I am typing in the reclining position. Today I started to cut back on the pain pills but I've decided it's easier to recline in bed due to this incision than sit and type. It is making it hard for me to type my presentation that is due tomorrow. It's back to the hunt and peck method. I'm glad you're doing so well. Take care. We can say it's finally over!
