Happy Birthday

Dear

Today is my sister's birthday. She would be 59 today...except that she lost her brave fight against breast cancer 15 years ago.

Please remember to schedule your annual mamogram. Wear a pink ribbon in memory of your sisters, aunts, mom, and friends. Remind your friends. Remind your friends to remind their friends. Donate for research if you can.

The only mamogram which is truely painful, is the mamogram not done which would have caught the early stages of a cancer.

Be healthy

Marion

love,
bliss

Happy Birthday

Dear Bliss:

I had a lump in my breast discoverd this year during my routine mamogram. Thankfully it was benign. I never felt the lump so I wouldn't have known it was there were it not for the mamogram. It is so important that women particularly those of us over 40 or at high risk get regular breast screenings, as early detection can mean the difference between life and death. I was fortunate that my situation was not cancer but the experience had a profound effect on me.

I am so sorry for your loss and thank you for reminding everyone of the importance of regular mamograms.

Happy Birthday

Bliss.
I am so sorry that you lost your dear sister, Marion, to breast cancer. She was so young, Bliss. How heartbreaking.

Reminding women of the importance of mammograms is a beautiful way for you to honor her.

I'll be thinking of you and your sister today. Thank you for generously sharing this with us. Certainly you will reach others who really needed to get this message and what an important difference you will have made!
I have a pink ribbon on my keychain (a gift from the mammography center this month) and a couple of our girls wear the pins on their school book bags.

Deepst sympathy and prayers to you and your whole family. I know you must miss your sister terribly.

Happy Birthday

S Bliss,

What a generous way to remember your sister's birthday. I have a brochure on self breast exam. I'll share it with my DD today because you've reminded me that breast cancer can strike younger women, too.

Thank you,
MLee

Oh (((Bliss))), I am so sorry your sister lost that battle.
My DD and I have matching pink bracelets. It was her idea to buy them when she heard about the campaign at a local store.

Thanks for sharing this story as a good reminder why it is so important that we protect our health!

Many s to you!

Bliss I am so sorry for your loss I lost my mom to breast cancer and a good friend. I found a lump on myself and had a partial masectomy 7 years ago with no insurance at the time I will pay for that surgery for a long time to come, but am so thankful that I am here to pay for it. This is breast cancer awareness month and it is so important for everyone to have their mamogram. Thank you for sharing and giving us all a reminder as to the importance of self exam and mamogram. s

Bliss

to your sister. I can only imagine what you are feeling today. I have a good friend -coworker who has gone through breast cancer. She also has a bad hip. So next year I am walking in the Princess Maragaret 60 kilometre walk in Toronto. There are 5 of us who are doing it from my small village. We have to raise a minimum of $2000 dollars and then walk 30 k each day. My good friend did it last year and said it was the most amazing thing she has ever done.

I hope you know that women and men around the world are trying their best to solve this horrible disease.

Katie
