When does the bleeding stop?

I had a LAVH on Oct 6th and still have some bleeding (light pink and red) not a lot, but when I ask the Doctor when this would stop he really could not say. I guess different times for different people. Just wanted to know when other sisters stopped bleeding. Other than that I'm back to work part time and feeling really good. Trying not to over do it.

Thanks, K

When does the bleeding stop?

Hello, I had a TAH+BSO, had some light pink discharge off and on untill about 4 wks out. Dr said it was normal and that if still had it after 6wks to come in.
As long as you do not have allot of bleeding or foul smell I would think you are in the normal range of healing.
Maybe some of the ladies who had the LAVH will respond and give you a better idea.
Best wishes

When does the bleeding stop?

I had an LAVH on Sept 21 and the light pink discharge stopped around the 4th week. I had to wear pantiliners until then. My surgeon said that it could continue for 4-8 weeks and not be considered unusual unless it was heavier, or bright red etc. I did notice in the beginning that the more active I was in the first couple of weeks, the more discharge, but still very light. Hope this helps.

When does the bleeding stop?

I had a TVH on 10-14 and stopped bleeding last week, but started again over the weekend because I overdid it, I think.

I'll be glad when it's done once and for all.

When does the bleeding stop?

Thank you for this post! I am 2-1/2 weeks post op and I have been thinking all day, "when is this bleeding going to stop?" It's not heavy or red, but there does seem to be more whenever I do anything. Anyway, now I know it's normal to last 4-8 weeks, I will stop worrying.

Kim

Glad you are feeling good, and hope your speedy recovery continues.
