calling all sisters to watch the "OPRAH" show today, 12/29

to my post-op sisters,

I am writing this thread to ask you to watch the Oprah show today. The subject today is about woman who are abused,
oppressed and mutilated in our world today.

This might be upsetting for some to watch, but I feel strongly that as woman we should all be educated and aware of what is going on this very day to woman around the world. If we can't do anything to help and change this.......we should at least be aware of this.

I watched it! It did make me sort of sick though.
I can't believe the lady with the sunglasses on
who looked like anyone else you might see on the
streets and had had that done!
It was atrocious.

It was very depresssing to watch.
I feel she could of talked more about Afganistan the the woman who are on "house arrest" they cannot leave their house. There windows are painted black and they must cover themselves from toes to head.

I hope more woman watched it so they are just aware.
In this country we are told to have big boobs and -0 size bodies.........

I watched this also, with my daughter and my niece who are respectively 10, and 10 and although they were quite confused over some of it, I think they are really happy to live in the US. My daughter's jaw dropped when they spoke of the 10 year old who had acid thrown on her face. What kind of 45 year old man would want a 10 or even 12 year old wife. I can't believe that they can do things like that we do not live in barbaric times anymore? Why does their government let things like this happen?
