He's the BEST..read this one!

At Christmas, my husband kept telling me there was going to be an 'after Christmas surprise" as well as what was under the tree. My daughter is home from college for the holidays and I have thoroughly been enjoying her company and help during recuperation (one month post op). You know, it's been really hard to feel 'feminine' with the swelly belly, wearing pajamas and lose clothes to stay comfortable, not driving, crying and 'losing it' with my termperament, etc. Yesterday, he came home at noon and told us he wanted to take us out to lunch. We all got in the car and he told us he had to run an errand at a local strip mall. He parked the car and asked us to come in with him. We just moved to Houston in August and I'm still not familiar with all of this area, so I was completely and utterly shocked when he stopped us in front of a salon that was located in the mall. He said, "Merry Christmas, you have the next 5 hours to spend in here!" Of course...nothing to do but start crying!!! I'm 42 years old and have NEVER experienced being pampered like we were. We spent the next five hours enjoying:a full one-hour swiss body massage (You can't even IMAGINE how good that felt), manicure, pedicure, served lunch, haircut/style and make-up application. HE IS THE MAN! Then when he picked us up (even though I was tired-but COMPLETELY relaxed) he had brand new BEAUTIFUL pants outfits for us that he had purchased for us to take home and change in to. At home, there was a bottle of wine ready for us. Then he took us to one of two of the most elite restaurants in Houston where there was also a stage show while we ate. Caviar, wine, entertainment, new clothes, (a new body), a delicious dinner...shared with my daughter (my friend) and my husband (my BEST friend). It couldn't have been a better day!

I just had to share this experience with you. I feel like a brand new person. The only hard part was reminding him that after all that, he still wasn't going to get lucky last night! Even my daughter found that one pretty funny! But as much as we felt like the Queen and Princess for the evening, I could tell he felt like a King just being out with us and letting us strut our femininity for the evening. HE IS THE BEST and I love him dearly!

your special day

Hi, it's "sister" Roz. What a wonderful surprise for you and your daughter. I can't say that I got that fancy of a treatment, but I did get a beautiful string of pearls and some of my favorite bath bubbles for Xmas. My husband is also my best friend. We've been together for the last 17yrs, that's literally half of our lives, we're both 35. We've grown up together and I can honestly say that I still get excited when he comes home from work. We have two sons ages 8 & 5 1/2, so I'm the only girl in the house, even the pets are male! It's so great to have a life partner that can really get into your experinces and share all the feelings right along with you. We're lucky ladies! Nice talking to you, Roz
