Hair and Head Problem

Hi sisters, I have been having a problem with my hair falling out (and it is not too thick at the best of times) and lots of little pimples all over my head - therefore can't cover the grey which is appearing more and more each day. I am on Estradial cream 2 pumps each day for my menopausal syptoms (hot flushes, mood swings, insomnia etc.) and it seems to be helping these symptoms but I wonder is there anything I can do to relieve the hair and head problem.

Anyone have any ideas?

thyroid problems and also polycystic ovarian syndrome can do that to your hair. there's probably other things too.

I would definitely go and see the Dr. My Mother had surgery recently and from the stress of it all she ended up with little pimple type things all over the side of her scalp.

She was diagnosed with Shingles!

So hope all is ok with you

Hair and Head Problem

I have the same problem with my hair but i'm not on any HRT right now , I've read that it can cause hair loss when there out of balance..........

I also have had alot of hair shedding for along time but my hair is so very thick its not noticeable........I use that rxxx shampoo I think its made by revlon or loreal something like that but it does slow the shedding down.I can't remember the exact name but its in a grey and green bottle and sold at all drug stores and grocery stores........But it did help alot

Hair and Head Problem

I didn't have any scalp issues, but shortly after a couple of my surgeries I lost a lot more hair than usual each day. Enough to where I & my hairdresser could notice it.
She explained to me it was from the anesthesia. It eventually stopped and she recommended using Nioxin shampoo .to help my hair recover and grow back. I shall forevermore swear by the stuff!

talk to your doctor about your scalp. If they are uncertain, might try a dermatologist as well.

I am not on any hrt do you think I should have it check to see if I need to? I will see at the store when I can go to see if I can find that shampoo, I also am going tostart taking some vitamins see if that helps, but the itching I dont know maybe its just a ting for the day.

Hair and Head Problem

Thanks ladies for all your posts. I have went to the Dr. who said that it could be my system getting used to the hrt or possibly my pernissus anaemia (sorry for spelling, another thing that gone askew). He took my bloods so I have to wait for the results, hopefully tomorrow.

Take care and thinking of you all
