So much to do, 4 days left!
I am so stressing! I am too busy to take a bath even! Yesterday I was ready for a nice hot bath with CD player ready, after I my 5 daughters off to school. Then I got the phone call...I forgot I offered to chaperone my 10 year old's field trip to the Field Museum in Chicago. YIKES!!! 10 minutes to shower, have to make her a lunch, needless to say I had 9 kids to watch through the mazes of exhibits and kept getting seperated. Actually had a search party set for 2 that dissappeared out of the group. I was so glad 1pm came along to get on that bus. Took the girls out for our last dinner out for awhile. And took my 10 year old shopping (felt so bad for forgetting and her lame lunch) for new pjs and slippers and ended up shopping for the house necessities.
But I have Girl Scouts today at 1pm and the other GS troop meeting at 6pm. I have to shop for camp. Thats right, am leaving for a camping trip for GS tomorrow at 5pm and won't be home until 3pm Sunday! Surgery Monday. I have teacher conferences Friday am, and still haven't gotten winter coats for the kids yet. I am going to pass out with all this running around.
Last night, I finally got to lay down at 7pm with tylenol, never had so much pain! And that is when my husband laid it on me about shopping! Whatever. I get a paycheck too. Like he would know what razor refills, shampoo, toothpaste we use!!! Thank god he didn't see the stuff I bought in the closet yet!! Had to charge those. PJs, robe, slippers, small pillow. He freaked about a $8.88 body pillow I bought at Wal~Mart! Need it to rest up from the hospital. By brother took me out Tuesday, needed to do the ME shopping, and bought me dinner and a movie. My husband...whatever. I asked if he wanted to go to dinner with me and the kids last night...nope, too tired. But when we got home and hour later he was dressed and gone out of the house. Whatever. My key word for everything.
I wish I could blow off camp but have 20 kids that rely on me to go. My last GS big hoorah until January!! So it's important to all. The leader I am sharing our cabin with is also having medical problems, Kidney Stones, and probably won't come out. But wanted to plan our mandatory volleyball coach meeting for Sunday night. What? I asked if she is trying to kill me or something!! That is the day I come back from camp...you won't be going, and I have to pack for the hospital and rest from the weekend with girls ages 9-14!!! She is crazy I say.
The only good thing of it all is that my sister double checked in on coming out Sunday with my 8 year old (not her camp weekend), and planning on staying at my house for a few days instead of driving back and forth. My husband works graveyard and I worried about the kids being home all alone for 2-3 nights while I am away.
Sorry for the longest, vent ever!! Thanks! Katrina

((( Katrina )))
Girl, you do make me tired!! It's been awhile but I can still remember when I was a GS leader. Well, at least you don't have the time to sit and fret.
Try to take the time to have your nice relaxing bath soon - sounds like you need it.
Best wishes for the camping trip and the trip to the castle on Monday. It's good that your sister will be there to help you at first.

Katrina!
Hey there girl. YOU sound like I did the few days beforehand. I am in my first week post-op. My dh was the same as yours. He complained about everything but while I was in the castle (5 days ) he sure wasnt complaining because he got to see what I did all day. YOu would think after 15 yrs of marriage that he would understand but nooooo.
I am glad that you are keeping busy because it keeps your mind off worrying. It seems like this weekend away will be a time of sharing with other women and looking after your dd and spending some time with her. You do what feels good for you and just brush off what ur dh says. Shop if you need to and do what helps you make it through this time. He will understand soon what real work is like when you are in the castle!!!!!!!
Blessings to you and your family!
Linda

So much to do, 4 days left!
After all the stress I am under and rushing to get everything organized for my surgery & camp before....My husband went to his lawyer today for the divorce. I guess he doesn't want to wait until January? We talked about it in October to get a divorce. And then the following week he wanted to wait and get counseling. Now November, he asked for out marriage license, house info, and what bank I use.
I can't even get ahold of a lawyer for a consult. I prefer a female one if anything. Good thing I enrolled for medical insurance last month during open enrollment. So I won't have to wait if he does get the ball rolling by 2005!
I guess he doesn't plan on being around for the next 2 months to help out and take care of me like I asked. I will be home alone with 5 girls for the holidays just around the corner. What a jerk!!!
We planned on waiting until after the holidays. I wonder if I will be served while resting next week?

You poor thing. Try to concentrate on YOU! Maybe you can get some support from your extended family. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about the divorce, they are not fun but one thing I learned through mine is that God really is with you. I will pray that God softens your husbands heart to not serve you yet and that someone will come to your rescue and help out. I know no one likes to ask for help but please think about your friends and call on them, you would be surprised the response you may get from them. I will pray a lot for you during this time.
