Is this "healing" pain???

For crying out loud! I just want to cry! I had a lap 2 weeks ago today. It was a RSO and lysis of adhesions + the doc put mesh in as a barrier. My first week was ROUGH! Lots of pain on the left where most of the work was done. Then I had a couple of days where I actually felt good. But yesterday the pain was back with a vengence. I am actually having muscle spasms between my left incision and navel and even up under my rib cage. These are strong enough to make me want to scream out in pain. I have my post op visit with gyn tomorrow (got moved from Wed to Fri) and of course, I am going to go over this with her. But I'm wondering what you gals think? Is this just part of the healing process or something I should be concerned about??

Is this "healing" pain???

Hello Sweetie:

If you are able to function then its probably OK to wait until tomorrow to discuss it. But, if its really hurting you, then why wait? Why suffer needlessly?

Try and take it easy, whatever you decide. You are still healing from surgery!!!!

Is this "healing" pain???

First of all s

Next, I think that hystersisters needs a message board section just for us adhesion sufferers!
Almost all of our symptoms/complaints are the same...it is scary!
My history with adhesions, first time I had 3 weeks of relief, second time I had 6 months, this last time I had 4 weeks. It is really hard to say for you, I know that when the pain came back for me it was worse than before surgery if that helps. I have posted under "back from specialist" yesterday about what I am going through now.
It is very frustrating and disappointing too.

Is this "healing" pain???

(((Michelle))) Thanks as always for your kind words. I have no choice but to wait until tomorrow, functioning or not! My is not in the office today and no way I can leave work unless it's in an ambulance as our dispatcher is out and I'm her only back up.

(((marian))) I have been following your posts and hate that you are suffering so. Am keeping my fingers crossed that you (all of us) find the answers and relief we need. I would absolutely cringe to think this is adhesion pain coming back so quickly. I am actually praying that it's just a matter of needing more healing time and maybe overdoing it some. Thanks and do keep in touch and let me know how things are coming along with you.

(((billssweetie)))

I certainly hope and pray for you that maybe you overdid it or something like that too. I am having my bone scan tomorrow morning (just got the call). That is going to be a pain in the rear...I have to be there @ 8:30, get injected with the radioactive solution, come back in 3 hours and then get the scan done which can take an hour. yippeee...lol
