Frustrated

Well I am even more frustrated now than I was before.

I went to see my internal medicine doctor yesterday for a yearly check up on my thyroid. He told me he had talked to my gynecologist about my female problems because she had called (with my ok) to get all of my medical records from him and see if he would help try to get the hysterectomy approved by ins. He said he reviewed everything she sent over to him and he also agrees that I need it all out. He said he is willing to write a letter as well and also let the ins co know (just so they don't try to pull anything) that nothing going on with my thyroid is a contributing factor to my female problems. He said that he has had several patients himself who have been having ins problems like me. He said as a matter of fact his mom needed a surgery and the ins co denied her 7 times before it was approved! He told me to not give up but that is so much easier said than done. Anyway, to make a long story short....

I have 2 doctors both in agreement I need this surgery and a stubborn ins co who still says no. :confuse: I just am about to give up. I am tired of fighting and tired of hearing the word no.

Just hang in there!!! Don't give up, even if you have to let the doctors duke it out with the ins. companies!!

Take heart that you have another doctor on your side. Your gyn sounds wonderful, that she is willing to go through so much. I have read so many posts where the doctors don't seem to care. Hang in there. I know it is easier said than done but it is happening for a reason. We may not know what it is yet, but some day hopefully it will be clear. My prayers are with you.
