Fabulous Friday Finally, Nov. 5th
 It's Friday!!!!!!!!! I love Friday's.
Good morning everyone! I'm up and getting ready to go to Curves. The sun is shining and the rain has stopped. All in all a good day already.
I've had one of Shirley's off the wall sort of breakfasts. A slice of lean boiled ham on a piece of whole wheat bread. Very yummy. (Although as a kid, my favorite breakfast was leftover spaghetti from the night before, sometimes eaten cold).
After Curves, I'll come home and get my walk in early. DH and I are gone this evening for awhile, and maybe we'll walk late and maybe we won't. He's on a walk with Nancy kick now, but he's not as commited as I am yet. So if we get home and he's really tired, he won't walk, and I'd be out walking at 11:00 tonight, just me and the dog. If he does want to walk, I just get two walks this way. A bonus for me!
Food yesterday was very good all day. I even had to smile and pat myself on the back. Went to Target for a few things. I love to wander all over Target. Well, I stumbled on to the 75% off Halloween candy isle. I went down it. I looked at the candy (lots of good stuff still) and I didn't see anything I even wanted, so I got out of there without any junk. That's an accomplishment right there.
Well, Got to run, I'll check back in.
Have a BEST OP day!

day here! I'm going to bottle some up and send it to (((Emily))) for her DD's wedding day.
Yesterday wasn't so OP. Drat those birthday cupcakes! I'm going to wrap up the remaining ones and get them out of sight. They are just too tempting sitting on the counter.
I plan to walk alone this morning. DH is out running errands and the outdoor fall air is calling me! I still need to eat breakfast and get dressed! It's been a hectic morning.
I'll check back in later. Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

Fabulous Friday Finally, Nov. 5th
Hi all!
Thought I'd check in - my day off (finally!) and I'm cleaning the house and getting ready for my cousin. She's visiting from Kansas City and the first time she's ever been to my house - I'm very excited!!!
I have decided to start going back to WW on a weekly basis for awhile. Even though I'm lifetime, I have NOT been good about staying on track. I am up about 5 pounds and seems I do better when I am accountable to someone/something. I also wish now I had not chosen the very top of my weight range as goal, as it leaves no room for a little gain.
I also still have not found my "routine" after starting to work. It is getting easier, though, but I have been working a lot of extra hours. I have thought and thought about why it seems so much more stressful for me than others to not be able to get everything under control, but I guess it is my depression/anxiety disorder. It takes something that is just annoying to someone else, but to me it seems almost catastrophic. Does that make sense? Anyway, I've decided to quit being down on myself thinking I'm weak - it is what it is and I will deal with it the best I can.
To top it off, I lost my first patient yesterday. (For those who don't know, I"m a social worker in a nursing home). I know it's the nature of the business, but this man was unexpected and one of my favorites. All in all, a rough day and I'm going to admit that I ate my way through the evening.
Even though I don't post much anymore, I do still lurk and read when I can and still get strength from everyone of you.

Hello all
I am so glad it is Friday. I am the only one in my department of 8 here. SO let me say I am sooooooooooooo lonely Even my favorite manager is not in today. Though he said the area would probably still be loud I of course pretended to be soooooooooooooooooooooo hurt. NOT!
After work today hubby is heading to his moms for the weekend. So another weekend alone. Tonight after I get home I am taking the girls to a used ski swap. That should be fun. They need boots and if there are some nice skis I will pick some up for me.
I got my workout in today. I am going to head off to Walmart at lunch. I need to get out of the building.
Anyway that is the scoop on moi.
Tamara nice to hear from you. Sorry about your favorite patient. That is tough.
Donna
those darn cupcakes. I must admit I love cake and cookies.
Bliss sounds like you have a busy day. Good for you. I so wish I was home mucking out my house right now. I hate doing it on Saturdays.
Hi Nancy. I am so glad you enjoy Curves that with your walking I am sure you will take off lots of inches.
Okay I am off

Hi gals --
Katie -- thanks for the recipe. Where do you get almond flour?
No class that I like at the gym on Fri's so I did 1/2 an hour on the elliptical and 1/2 an hour on the treadmill..........and worked up a good sweat! Came home and tried a new recipe for banana bread for dh to take to his tournament........had to try a slice and it turned out well.
He left around 1:00 p.m. and I spent the afternoon in the yard reading. Took the dogs for a walk before dinner, fixed myself some salmon patties and had a cup of leftover veggie soup for dinner.........and have been sitting here crosstitching til I'm cross-eyed......... the peace and quiet have been wonderful, but I'll be happy to see him come back home tomorrow. I'm in cooking mode and tomorrow I'm trying a new recipe for pork chops and also a recipe for butternut squash which I have never cooked before.
Tamara ~~ big 's to you. I'm sorry about the loss of your patient.......that has to be a hard part of the job to deal with.
Nancy ~~ I did the same thing at Walmart yesterday.......cruised thru the candy aisle with all the marked down Halloween goodies and said............I really don't want or need this! And didn't buy any!
BodyPump at the gym tomorrow and then coming home to cook........and then relax til DH gets home and tells me all about his fishing day...........
Hugs to all --
Ann

Fabulous Friday Finally, Nov. 5th
Hi BEST s
Wow, it sure is a slow day here, I do hope it's because everyone is enjoying themselves.... or getting some well deserved rest.
I'm sorry I've been away all of this week: my life has been like a real soap opera for the past week: first it was the issues with BIL. Then, he went home and we thought we would be back to normal. Wasn't meant to be: DS, 13 with some behaviorial issues, was attacked by another kid on the bus, Tuesday night. He got hit in the mouth and behind the head . Sooo, once he calmed down, it was a matter of sorting it all out with the school and school board, as far as what the procedures would be. We're still sorting it out with the cops: he got his report in to the officer responsible for the school, be we now have to ensure that we are kept in the loop and nobody seems to be quite sure how to proceed where that is concerned. Hopefully it will all be sorted out on Monday.
Needless to say, I'm exhausted and have been far from OP. However, I have decided that I'm going back to my weightloss group. I took it as an omen that there is now a new group, on Monday's (which is better for me, as I often have meetings on Tuesday) and closer to where we live. So, Monday, I'm heading back.
I'm also heading back to PACE on Monday: back to normal and hoping that I'll fit into most of my clothes by X-Mas.
((((Tamara)))) I'm so sorry you lost a patient this week. I used to be a Nurses' Aide in a Nursing Home and know just how attached you get to the residents. I remember how heart broken I felt when one of my favorite patients passed away: it wasn't a surprise, as she was over 100, but I had gotten attached to her!!! Here's some nice for you.
(((Katie)))) Thanks for the recipe. I'm also wondering where you would get the almond flour: sounds really delicious!!!
(((Toni)))) Sounds like you're having a whale of a time over there. Can I join?
((((Ann)))) I hope you enjoy your time alone. Reading in the yard sounds like a perfect idea. Not that I'd attempt it here: it's bitterly cold today, and the winds were soooo bad this afternoon that our wooden chairs were trying to walk off on their own!!!
Hi Bliss, Nancy and Donna.... sounds like you're all busy, and that's a great way to spend the day.
Hope we have the BEST week-end ever!!!
