surgery date changed

Hey all. My surgery was supposed to be last thursday, the 4th, but because of surgery that I had on September 30th and a tumor they found on my ovary, I had to wait for the pathology report to come in. It took longer than usual and the doctors nurse gave away my surgery date. Needless to say, my dh and I were upset. My MIL is coming to take care of my 3 kids and me when I come home from the hospital, and is flying in from across the country. She had already arranged her schedule, but luckily had not bought her plane tickets yet. The new surgery date is now this Thursday the 11th. I am a little on the anxious side. It ended up being a good thing about the surgery date being changed. My friends son died of a brain tumor and I was able to fly to the funeral and would not have been able to do this had I already had the surgery. I know that I would have been going nuts at home. So all in all, having the dates switched worked out. Now I am just frantically trying to clean my house and prepare for my MIL to come stay with us for a couple of weeks. Sending out a prayer for all of you ladies also in waiting.

Best wishes to you for a smooth surgery...mainly wanted to comment on the verse...Isaiah 41:10 was the verse my DH recited to me as I was getting prepped for surgery (Nov. 4th). I had a TVH due to homorrhagic cysts on ovaries and enlarged uterus...but seem to be recoverig pretty well.

I'm very sorry about your friend's son but am happy that you could go and be there for her. I'm sure that was a comfort to her.

I love that verse. It has given me a lot of comfort lately. I hope it does for others also. I hope you have a quick and smooth recovery. Saying a prayer for you.

Thank so much Jean for your prayers. I need them! I am starting to get very nervous. I will spend a lot of my day today, trying to get the last minute things done. I know it is not going to matter either way if I don't get it all done, but I can still hope. Lol.
