I am so bored!!!!

There is only so much you can do on the computer, you can only watch TV so much, I'm going crazy.

My house is a mess and I want to clean it but can't.

I am slowly going crazy, crazy going slowly am I!!!

Hi,

You could start doing holiday/Christmas cards . I worked on organizing photos I had that needed to be put in albums.

I also got into reading some good books that were fast, interesting and not hard to concentrate on.

It won't be long and you will be back to all the normal things you are used to doing. Just relax and enjoying being a princess for a little while.

Well, actually, I'm jealous of you. I wasn't bored until I started feeling pretty good, so you must be doing OK.

It always makes me feel as though I'm doing something if I read a cookbook. You could start planning any December holiday stuff you're going to do -- or if you're foregoing the whole thing (which you may be doing this year), plan for next year!!

I also knitted alot. If you do any sort of handwork (crochet, cross-stitch), you could either do the work or look at patterns and dream.

Hi!

Think of all the things you've been meaning to do but didn't have the time, or had too many interruptions. READ! KNIT! Organize a drawer! (Not as much fun as the previous two).

I find that if I turn on the TV during the day, it's downhill from there. Seems to turn my brain to mush.

Chick movies are a good alternative, however!

Hang in there!

Thank ya all for the suggestions.

Tired of cross-stitching, not doing the xmas thing this year - going to the folks place.

I think what I really need and want is the human to human, face to face companionship during the day.

I work in a care home and as a waitress so I always have people around me, so now that I'm by myself all day I'm bored. If you can understand what I mean.

At night it is not a problem the kids get home from school and the DH gets home from work, so there's people around and I'm fine.

Later ya all,

Cheryl

(((cheryl)))

I think I might have given you this suggestin on a earlier post this morning, but pick up a hobby, something you have always wanted to do.
Start writing out your Christmas cards.
Take out a notebook and pencil and draw the rooms in your house and rearrange on the paper and see if that is something you might want to do once you are feeling better.
STart a journal. That will also help with any feelings you are having trouble dealing with.
Write out thank you notes to coworkers, family, friends for whatever help they did or things they sent over for you during your recovery.
Find a new cookie recipie and try it out. You can go to better homes and gardens online and they have a bunch of new Christmas/holiday recipies. Cookies are easier since you don't have to lift anything heavy into a bowl or dish.
Let me know what you have decided to do to fill your time so we can suggest it to others who will come along with the same complaint of boredom.

Good luck!

boredom

Hi
I know how you are feeling. I was totally bored at home. I was off of work for 12 total weeks for my hysterectomy. I work in a mental hospital and am always on my feet and busy. It was so hard just sitting around at home. I did housework right off, which I wasn't supposed to do. I think it made my healing longer than it should have.
I read over twenty books while home and can't stand the thought of reading one now. I hardly watched any tv which I finally had free use of. I share my home with 4 teenage boys and DH. I did spend alot of time on the computer, but that was hard on the back and abdoman after a while.
Maybe a new craft would be enjoyable. I should have had some lined up before I went to the castle. I did work on placing alot of photos into albums. Try to enjoy your time off, because once you return to work you'll wish you could get some rest.

I hope your days get better for you. I had a second surgery two months after returnig to work and I was only off for one month and that was much easier. I am facing another surgery in the near future and will be sure to have hobby items lined up.

Good luck and try to relax
Peggy
