Tears For The Son I'll Never Have......

Thank you Kristi. I appreciate your kind words. I have come to terms with that a long time ago and have gone ahead with my life. You just can't live in the past but it is something you'll never forget. I do have all the love in the world and have plenty to give. I appreciate this very much.

Hugs, Dale

Tears For The Son I'll Never Have......

There is a recent study out regarding the affects of abortion. (Although I myself never had one, I have great empathy toward those who have.) This recent study shows the majority of women increased their self esteem and do not regret their decision. The results of this survey will surely soon be touted on all major networks, particularly by those whose hearts are still cold for one reason or another - everyone has their reasons for dealing with this issue the way they do. A friend of mine waited 4 years to tell me she had aborted what she thought was a baby girl when she was 18 years old. She now has 3 boys and always regrets her decision, I think that is what made me read your post in the first place. She too considers the age that girl would now be. It is a pain no one can imagine, but know there are many of us out there who's hearts go out to you.

Sincerely,
Ann

Tears For The Son I'll Never Have......

Hi, Ann -

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your kindness and sympathy...that is so thoughtful of you. They study that you mentioned really concerns me, as I believe that every women who has an abortion is affected it on some level. I also believe that in most situations, the painful results are suffered many years after the abortion...because that's when the emotional effects really seem to set in, and the questions start to arise about if the child was a boy or a girl, and thoughts come up about how old they would be now. My child would be 19 years old now, and I know my life would be completely different if my child was here with me now. :'(

So many people judge women for making this traumatic, personal decision...and it means so much to me that you understand. We judge ourselves so harshly as it is, that it's really a comfort to know that everyone else out there doesn't. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
