cyst after ovary removal

Has anyone had a cyst develop on the spot where an ovary used to be. I had my ovaries removed a year ago and just had a large blood filled cyst removed from where the ovary used to be. I'm not sure if this is common or if I should be concerned.

did youby any chance have endo ? I wondering if its related . Thats why too the gynae isnt starting me on HRT as yet. I dont knw if its possible for endo to e triggered off my foods that you eat . Maybe the othermore experienced hystersisters cancomment

I didn't have endo but I have had problems with adhesions. As a matter of fact, my Dr. found the cyst when he went in to lyse some adhesions. He said it looked benign but he also checked my other organs to make sure they looked ok. I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing but because he checked the other organs made me wonder if he was concerned. I sure hope I'm not going to have to worry about cysts in the future. I thought I was done with that once I had the ovaries removed. Thanks for the reply.

Have you had any hormone tests? Mabe you have an Ovarian Remnant.

I haven't had any hormone tests but I think I will ask for them since I'm on the Vivelle Dot. Maybe my leveles are too high. Do they do anything for Ovarian Remnant Syndrome?

If you have ORS, you need to get off of the patch, as the patch can make your remnants grow. Mine got to be the size of baseballs! I am now waiting to have them removed.
If your levels are high it would suggest that you have ORS.
