hormone replacement

My doctor is leaving it up to me whether to take out my overies or not. But my question is about hormones. I had a stroke about 11 years ago, from a Chiropractic adjustment,and My doctor won't put me on hormones. I am just wondering if he will put me on something natural, or will I have to do this myself. I plan on having him take out my overies.
i am already on anti-depressants, for depression, I just don't want things to get any worst.
My Doctor just said that there is natural stuff you can take.
