Meals in the Freezer Helped Me

To all of my Pre-Op Sisters:

I was grateful to others who suggested that I freeze some meals that I'd enjoy before going to surgery. I had prepared at least a week's worth on my own and froze them.

On top of that, my mom was with me for a week and froze several containers of her wonderful turkey and noodle soup. It's really nice to have some good home cookin' when you get home that you only need to pop in the microwave for 10 minutes and enjoy!

I felt able to cook myself a light meal last night and I am 2 weeks post-op. What a treat! (I enjoy cooking anyway.) If you don't enjoy cooking, pick up some healthy meals from your favorite non-fast food restaurants and freeze them. You won't be disappointed.
